  1. Just replaced the window mechanism FDS window, now the release handle is just about at the end of its travel before the door opens. I notice there is a hole under the door catch with a screw, is this for taking up any slack in the operating cable. (please say yes) or have I to strip the door down again Porky

    Thank u

Thanks to everyone who replied to my query regarding reversing light upgrades & my apologies for the tardiness in replying. Just returned from the NY celebrations in Preston & Bowness-On-Solway. I am pleased to report the problem has been solved by swmbo herself who stated she could not see the writing on road signs & would have to get so spectacles, the stupid bitch. I can say this without fear, - because she doesn,t look at my messages thanks again Tel

  18. I have recently replaced the battery on the 06 2.5 Superb thinking after 6 yrs it might be responsible for flat battery problems. It still happens,so I would like to check my alternator drive belt & output if possible & probably look for something like the boot light staying on. Where abouts is the alternator & how do u get to it. (what word comes to mind!) Thanks Tel
  19. In the engine bulkhead, on the RHS of the servo unit 2 pipes disappear downwards, like the water drain hole, next to them. The grommets for these pipes are missing & I wondered if water could get into the interior or or would it just finish up outside? Tel

  23. Yes had all the joints were checked by the local electronics engineer who recognised it straight away as being Skoda.Ithen bought a used cluster which then needed setting up to the ecu. & when I asked Skoda the cost it was going to be more than the cars worth so tomorrow is D Day when I try this fuse Thanks Again Tel
  24. I have still problems with my inst. cluster. Have had the soldered joints checked at my local electronics shop - no different. Does work occasionally but only for a few seconds. When I had trouble with a leaking rad it would work sometimes ok for the full time of a journey or journeys. Now the leak is sorted (after the 3rd rad) it very rarely works only for a few seconds. I did read that u could try removing a fuse but I have searched the forums without success. must get it sorted asap as its due for mot shortly Can anyone help Tel
