No not cancelling my order. The dealer was just running through a few things and mentioned I had paid the £500 deposit I would be putting ££ towards a cash payment, but then told me I would not recive the deposit back?

Quick question. When I ordered my car in August I put down the £500 deposit requested and was told that I could either get the money back or put it towards the advanced payment. However speaking to the dealer this morning we got on to the subject of the deposit were I was told that I would not get this back?

Okay just had an update from the dealer. To have it trailered the delivery company charge approx £1.30 a mile. So would be around £289 + VAT!!!! I think a train drive down for about £50 is in order instead:-)

True, but then knowing my luck I would be the one who does that :-(

I am guessing nobody has actually risked getting their car delivered by a driver:-)

Well got another response from the Skoda dealer and it will not be on a transporter. Not sure If I can trust someone driving my car from London to Manchester!

Hmm Yes that is the letter I recived. However when contacting the Skoda dealership I am going through they told me it would be a driver only.

Well the Skoda dealership told me I would have to collect due to taken out their Finance. However they emailed saying it could be delivered by a driver. If you have gone through DTD for anything they may give you the option at an extra cost to have it delivered on a transporter.

In the next few weeks I was planning to pick up my car from the dealer I ordered via DTD. However they have given me the option that they can deliver the car (Driven down only) Now I still plan to head down there to pick it up, but Iwas just wondering if anyone has had their cars delivered this way? Cheers

If you are odering DSG you do not need to order Maxidot. A few here will confirm that.

Very nice!! If you don't mind me asking how much extra does the dealer charge for the mid tint? Also what is launch control?? Or am I just missing the joke here:-)
