I'll also be looking at a full refund under sales of goods if performance or mpg are effected as a result of changes made by the recall. The legalities seem quite clear, anything upto 6 years old where the purchaser can prove the fault existed at the time of purchase (which vw have formally confirmed) can result in rejection of the vehicle and a refund of the purchase price.

I have a 2012 CR VRS, and every morning it sounds like the rear offside caliper is sticking/grinding. By the time i get to work its fine, but then when i leave work again I'm in the same boat again. As the car is under warranty until October, I was wondering if this would be considered as a warranty repair or something i would be paying for. I guess the way I see it is that the manufactured part is faulty as the pistons aren't returning into the caliper but I never seem to get a dealership to agree with me on anything when the word warranty is mentioned.

Yep. I think the price was a little insulting. I was looking at moving to a new vrs with winter pack and black plus kit and towbar. The price was 24k if I recall which was a decent offer. It's not worth 15 grand to change though.

2012 62 plate.

Had a part ex price on my blackline with 40k on it and was only offered 9k against a new vrs. Seemed a little low considering there was a non black line vrs that was 6 months older than mine and with 50k on the clock at the same dealership for sale for 13k. Interested to see what part ex values others have been offered.

Can't believe I missed those on eBay :( -
What's the price of a new front windscreen?

I think it will be more. I paid 170 for a door window fitted by autoglass outside the insurance policy. that was on a 2010 fiesta. -
Yep that's the stuff. My car sits in a open car park all day and I'm beginning to get mega paranoid about some scally bricking in the window and nicking the touchscreen in the blackline. Is there a similar product if this one doesn't have a great dealer backup?

Just wondered if anyone had this fitted and roughly what the cost was? Are there any other similar products which do the same thing?

That was my black line parked outside the shop. Looks quite shiny considering the **** poor attempt to clean it the night before! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk -
That's what I was thinking, but I had heard of there being an auxillary siren. My VCDS cable turned up on Monday so time to give it a whirl I guess! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

So, tonight I sat an listened to what I thought was a house alarm for a good couple of hours. It was a beep beep beep sound continuously every three quartets of a second. I had checked out the window and made sure that the indicators on my car weren't flashing so didn't think anything of it. Anyway ive just decided to unlock my car from inside the house. As I unlocked it I heard the 2 normal chirps and I could still here the alarm sound. When I locked the car again I got the normal one chirp and the alarm noise stopped!? Complete coincidence or is there something else In this. I've never heard the car alarm go off previously and it didn't sound like what I would expect a car alarm to sound like. I've also read that the alarm can sound if the battery voltage is low. Does anyone know If this is a different sounding alarm to the main siren? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
