  1. Left is -1.74 degrees and right is -1.71 and according to their spec sheet it should be running -1.45 degrees on both sides
  2. I left my car in for a 4 wheel alignment at Central Tyres in Belfast on Saturday morning with the boot fully loaded with the 70-80+kg I carry around everywhere. I expected to come back to a fully sorted car that won't eat rear tyres less than a year down the line. When I got back the guy told me that there was no adjustment in the rear camber so it will continue to eat the tyres with the weight in the boot. I was very disappointed to say the least. I have searched for a camber adjustment kit for the Octavia but on ebay they only list a kit for the older Octavia. Surely there has to be some way of adjusting the rear camber to account for the extra weight? I really don't want to have to sell the car just for this reason.
  3. And what's wrong with the dirver's airbag - there's no Skoda badge in the middle either. Looks very wierd.
  4. Only part number I can find is the for Audi TT but there aren't any local Audi dealers to me - will VW be able to search under the same part number? The other problem I will have is that I replaced the gearbox in my car and I have no idea if the new box is older or newer than 2006 (according to the other posts there is a different shifter). How can I tell the difference? Thanks.
  5. Yes my turbo is still up for grabs - search ebay for pics and details of the one at £200.
  6. Found this little gem on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SHORT-SHIFTER-Audi-TT-A3-S3-Seat-Leon-Altea-Octavia_W0QQitemZ380192745088QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item588540e680 This looks to be a piece of cake to fit but I was wondering if anyone here has tried one of these and how much difference does this make?
  7. And for that reason, I'm out. I run my own business and every day we are beaten down on pricing by our customers depending on the volume of work. Therefore I believe that if you have a firm order of 80+ cables you should be able to get a substantial discount on the product. I would be more than happy to phone up the suppliers and bargain with them based upon the number of potential orders above. At this moment in time if there is no other option than paying the extra cost I would just like to have a refund - I think I'll just buy myself a welder instead and stick to my classic motors
  8. I have just checked my Abbey (Santander) account and it seems to have went through ok so far. It should be in your account today or first thing on Monday morning. Thanks, Bryan.
  9. I bought most of the parts I could second hand off ebay. I couldn't get the side strips second hand though as no one will split them from the doors. They cost £25 each (£100 odd for all 4!!) so beware!! It was stupid things like this that bumped up the price - the rear reflectors for the bumper were also pricey enough for all they are - again had to be bought new. Front bumper fog lights are expensive but I found a compatible set for less than half the price of genuine Skoda ones. To fit the VRS Front bumper properly you will need the inner splash guards to line them up properly with the bumper. I haven't done this but it's something I plan to do as it bugs me. Quite fussy when it comes to things like that.
  10. Under the scuttle panel on the driver's side near the suspension strut if I remember correctly is where it's stamped into the chassis? Well, the MK2 anyway...
  11. I have a good second hand turbo with 17k on it for £200 if you're looking for one.
  12. If you can find me a diesel MK2 VRS for the money I have spent on my car I'll buy 5. I'd make a fortune selling them on. I have spent more than my car is worth, admittedly, but not as much as a genuine VRS. I could have bought a MK1 VRS but I really don't like them as much for some reason. I've done a lot of the work on the car myself which has kept the cost down. The only real expensive thing was the respray because that was something I couldn't do.
  13. Can I please be added to the list as well? PM me with bank transfer instructions. Thanks, Bryan.
  14. Would be interested in the brakes definately. Car may already be remapped due to it being an ex cop car. It certainly goes well anyway I will have to get it on the rollers once I get the steering sensor calibrated.
  15. Just thought I would update this thread with some more photos... This is what my car currently looks like: Spent most of last weekend swapping the dials from a set of genuine VRS clocks into my original clocks because they simply can't be swapped over due to the fact that they're coded to the car. Here's my old clocks: And the new ones: My car has also had a new engine and a brand new turbo over the past few months!
