  1. Fabia VRS log burner went a year ago; been hooning around in a modded R53 Mini Cooper S
  2. Could be up for this. Not the fabia but my Mini Cooper s. A work colleague has also got an Ibiza cupra 1.4 he's looking to dyno.
  3. Not sure if anyone saw it, but there was an SE on autotrader last week with 22000 on the clock at a skoda dealer. It was up for 6500
  4. Straight swap http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/358462-jimbovrs-fabia-vrs/?p=4274589
  5. A work colleague has a 53 plate fabia with over 200k on the clock. He still on the original turbo and clutch. He services it himself every 10k and has only had to replace console bushes and arb bushes when needed
  6. I've been on the said Facebook groups recently and imo they are terrible. The bad language and text type speech just makes for a bad read. I litteraly just go on there to check whats for sale
  7. I had the stutter on my BLT vrs. I ordered the gasket and was all set to fit it but I found a thread on the seat forum relating to turning the EGR valve pretty much off via VCDS. I followed the setting/value and the car no longer has the stutter. In my car it was very noticeable to the point it felt like it was misfiring
  8. Engine wise is this a BLT or ASZ? Nice car, GLWTS
  9. Speed sensitive wipers can be enabled via carista also.
  10. I was lucky. I managed to pick up a motor from a written off se localish to me for £20. If the electric door mirrors are working fine its likely to be the drivers side motor with the control pcb on top.
  11. Get yourself an obd cable from ebay and download VCDS lite. You'll be able to log requested boost vs actual to see if the ecu has been remapped
  12. DMF on the way out, you'd normally hear a rhythmic clunking knocking which goes away when depressing the clutch pedal. Clutch slip to me sounds like what your experiencing either by contamination as above or just general wear from a spiky torque remap
  13. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?6089802-O2M-whining-decel-noises-aftermarket-clutch-disengagement-issues-mainshaft-axial-play

  15. If you put the car into gear with the clutch remaining depressed for 5 mins; if the car creeps forward within the time you have "clutch creep" .
  16. Still for sale £100 brand new, box only opened to view items
  17. When you disconnected the battery did you try the passenger window using the switch? Mine worked for a short while doing this
  18. Does your car have electric mirrors? If yes and they are working it is likely to be the drivers side motor which also has a control/circuit board on top. Worst case senario it would be the comfort module under the dash.
  19. As Coskev said, don't go too lower price and end up buying a set of ditch finders. I personally wouldn't buy a "cheap" set of tyres being that the tyres are the main thing that is keeping you on the road. (just my opinion)
  20. Cheers The car paint was like running your hand over fine grit paper when I picked it up. After claying the whole car it was onto the machine polisher (porter cable)I went for a more heavy than normal polish first, Poorboys SSR3 followed by Menzerna Intensive polish / final finish. Finished of waxing with two coats of colanite 915. There are areas that would benefit from a respray (bumper in particular), but I'm happy for know with the end result.
  21. Cheers Steve I have VAGCOM which works (with older cars) used for the coding. I use VCDS lite for logging as its newer but you cant code with th free version
