Estate rear wiper blade - recommendations? Bosch A331H didn't work.
Awesome - thanks for going to the effort of taking the photos! It does look like the arm is different between the 2. I've found a wiper which looks like it might work from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CP2PFL98/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , although I'd rather use a more reputable brand personally (Bosch tend to be my go to). I'd guess sometime between 2020 and 2023 they changed the arm.

Estate rear wiper blade - recommendations? Bosch A331H didn't work.
Very strange. This is a 2023 vRS estate. I'd have thought the wiper arm would be the same! I've uploaded 2 photos showing the issue - the OEM blade has a shallower clip that sits flush whilst the Bosch has a shoulder that means it doesn't fit into the arm enough to clip in. I also tried a Bosch AM33H but it had the same problem. Way it's going it'll be the dealer / TPS for it!

Estate rear wiper blade - recommendations? Bosch A331H didn't work.
Hi all, Has anyone replaced their rear wiper blade yet? I need to do mine, picked up a Bosch A331H from Euro Car Parts earlier as it was thought it'd fit, but the clip isn't long enough to clip into the hole on the arm annoyingly. Searching around and it sounds like an A331H should work, but I tried removing the existing clip from the blade and fitting it to the new blade and it didn't fit. Anyone got any recommendations or am I going to have to pick one up from the dealer? Thanks!

Oil leak from timing chain cover - 2017 vRS petrol
Hi all, I've got a 2017 Octavia vRS petrol. At service yesterday they identified a slight leak from what appears to be the rear timing chain cover area. They cleaned the oil off and told me to bring it back in in 1k miles time to look again, but in the meanwhile: Has anyone else experienced this? On a quick Google search it sounds relatively common? Is it likely to simply be a gasket failure or are there any other things I should be aware of (e.g. crankcase pressure build up causing it?)? Any thoughts on if I should stick with the main dealer for this one (the car is under the Skoda All-In warranty, but this doesn't seem to cover oil leaks) or find a good local specialist (any recommendations in the West London / Berks / North Surrey area would be welcomed)? My thoughts are that if it's simply a gasket failure then a local specialist will likely do it for less, but if the gasket is a symptom of a bigger issue then it _may_ be covered under the extended warranty, so the main dealer may be better. Attached is the photo they sent me showing the oil leak. Cheers!

Expansion bottle replacement
Yeah. It's a difficult one. If it wasn't for the warranty I'd be running nicht Silikat (I'm never convinced that fluids are good for life of a vehicle and a coolant flush isn't a big deal for me), but with the warranty in place I think mit Silikat is the way to go maybe. I think there's also an element of 'you only hear about the failures' on forums maybe. Still got the tank / coolant on its way to me though so I'll continue to give it some thought.

Expansion bottle replacement
The warranty side of things is a concern. I think the best bet for now is to leave it with the 'Mit Silikat' header and think it through a bit more. Cheers guys.

Expansion bottle replacement
£40 for the header tank and a couple of litres of coolant to top it up. Looks an easy swap over too. I'd guess I'd need to bleed the system after changing the header tank, is this the usual way (run the engine to temp with the cap off)?

Expansion bottle replacement
So I've got a 2017 petrol Octavia vRS with the dreaded 'Mit Silikat'. The car is under an extended warranty with Skoda as part of the 'all in' package. What's the thoughts? Replace the header tank anyway as a precaution? Or leave it and argue the toss on a warranty claim? Erring towards the first...

Skoda all-in
Yeah, the £100 was based on 2 years at £50/year. This still seems a decent deal to me, although I've not really heard much (maybe it's too early) about it. £12/month for 3 years of servicing and MOT is an awesome deal!

Skoda all-in
Thanks. I tried searching but couldn't see that!

Skoda all-in
Hi all, I've got a 2017 Octavia vRS estate (petrol). I've seen advertised the Skoda all-in deal which on the face of it, seems great as for £768 for 2 years it provides: * 2 services - I reckon this is about £400ish of value at least (oil service with extended inspection, oil service plus air filter, pollen filter, spark plugs) * 2 MOTs - £100 * 2 years roadside assistance - £250 (based on £125/year for AA which I pay right now) * 2 years warranty - £? Effectively the warranty is free with this based on my rough calculations. It's one which is backed by Skoda FS. Reading the small print and it seems like your usual aftermarket warranty (so it'd cover things if they totally blow up, but usual wear and tear exclusions etc). Has anyone else had any thoughts on this? Got the car booked in for the inspection on Friday so would appreciate any comments. Cheers!
