  1. Hi Guys Just to let you know. I too ordered the 21 SMD bulbs from UCP and recieved the 18's. After a couple of polite but very strong words from me, they have posted me some 21's. They haven't even asked for the 18's back  So they do have the 21's in now, so get back in touch. Kevin
  2. Hi Use one of these from the fuse box. Really nice and neat solution http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/715 Kevin
  3. Cheers guys How do I check those Cheers
  4. Hi Took my car into a very reputable tyre place today to have the wheel tracking laser aligned today. Didn't notice anything on the way home as it was rush hour. But just took the car out and it's wheel spining everywhere flashing the traction control light. It's very wet out there but I have never seen the traction light come on in the 2 months of owning the car. Before I go mad at the tyre shop tomorrow, do you reckon they somehow disable the haldex in order to do the tracking. Can't personally see why they would. Thanks Kevin
  5. Hi I get this on mine too. I guess it's a feature. Kevin
  6. Not been in a normal 2wd version of the superb, but my 4x4 is not noisy at all. It's not like you hear anything coming from the rear. You do feel something though when the haldex kicks in. Hard to explain what it feels like, but I know it works.
  7. Cheers for the advice guys. Couldn't really take the car back to the dealer as it's about 80 miles away. So dropped the car into a dealer in Northampton whilst I was down there on business. They upgraded the maps to version 7 for £25 which has now given me the full 7 digit post code. So I'm more than happy now. All I want to do with the car now is maybe upgrade to LED lights everywhere inside (already done the DRLs) and change the speakers as they are awful and vibrate in the rear. Thanks again Kevin
  8. I'm sure it will be. Bring on the snow (hopefully)
  9. This is what I mean about how confusing things are. Do I just go for upgrading the firmware to 402X. Or do I need to wait till I can get access to VCDS to double check my unit. It's only got 2 partitions for maps and music. I'm sure on reading that v8 requires 3 partitions. I now have the v8 maps (CD_7692). Or do I just wait and see if Mr Skoda Dealer will install for me when in for a service.
  10. Cheers for the reply. I'm fine with the creating of DVD's from iso images etc. It's just what version to put on. There seems to be so many with some being modified etc that confuses me.
  11. Hi All Been years since i've posted on here. But. I've just purshased a Superb II CR170 Estate 4x4 but am a bit disappointed with the NAV only allowing input of 5 digits or so. The car is an October 2010 and came with no map DVD's. So I don't know what version of maps is installed. After much reading, which has only added to my confusion, I can conclude that my Comumbus unit doesn't show me the 'secret' menu when having the setup button pressed for 30 secs or so. So I can't say what HW version/firmware is being used. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Kevin
  12. The parrot kit is ISO, but I have got the ISO converter cables from Parrot for the Octavia II. So fingers crossed it should work. The new RS doesn't arrive until next Friday. I can't wait.
  13. Cheers Guys I'm not changing the head unit. I just need to get to the back of it to install the Parrot bluetooth thingy into the ISO connectors. Ta Kevin
  14. Hi All It's probably been done to death. But is it easy to take the stereo out of the new Octavia II vRS. Do I need any special tools? Thanks Kevin
  15. Hiya I've ordered a vRS estate as a company car. It's been on order now for approx. 7 weeks. The spec. is: 18"s Racing Blue Dual zone Jumbo Box Xenons Parking Sensors Sunset Glass Cruise Control What sort of delivery time can I expect on that spec. I was quoted 6 weeks. Getting impatiant now. Cheers Kevin
