Rear Washer not working
Makes a sound and water sprays out for the front, so in other words works fine. The rear is silent when used. I've a vague recollection that before it died ages ago the pump would make a sound BUT nothing appeared out the jet, also you could tell it wasn't right audibly, almost like it was blocked. I did take a look at the time but saw nothing indicating a leak. I think what i might do is remove the some panels and take a deeper look at things when i get some time off work. What I could do I guess is use a multimeter on the connector when using the stalk and if I see 12V then we know the stalk is good. Thanks for the lighening quick response.

Rear Washer not working
My rear washer has stopped working a while ago. I recall i used to hear it trying but never saw any water. These days its silent when trying the rear but the front works perfectly still. Which is confusing if its the same/one pump how comes front works but rear is silent? Is it possible for the rear to get blocked but the front still work fine? Removing the nozzle doesn't help, still no water.

Check timing chain stretch with VCDS
The reason for this btw is i noticed a rattle on cold startup recently, which I've never heard before. I know that the tensioners need oil pressure and a cold start might mean they make a noise but this noise i've never heard before and the driving is exactly the same so it's got me worried.

Check timing chain stretch with VCDS
Hi I've got a 12 plate Octavia 1.4 TSI CXCA engine and cant for the life of me work out if i need to get the chain replaced or not. Part of the problem is that because I'm not working (medical issues) I have no commute, therefore I do very little mileage, probably 2K per year because all I do is go to the shops once a week. I do have a legit VCDS cable and using the latest software have tried to get the details that would tell me the amount of slack in the cable. However when i go into measuring blocks I don't see the values everyone quotes. I've even gone through the "groups" but dont see anything. I'm unfamiliar with VCDS if honest and have only ever used it once when I thought I needed to code my hands free kit, turns out I didnt even need it /doh Can anyone tell me what I need to do to see the stretch in the chain? Ignition Live in the Boot?
Why don't you run the cable as suggested? It's so easy even I managed to do it
