  1. Hi there, I am just after your thoughts, as Yeti owners, I purchased a new Yeti SE 1.2TSI Manual at the end of April, all is good except 2 points, I have a rattle/clicking noise coming from the drivers door on warm days, early morning you cannot hear it, as the day warms up, it gets worse and you can stop it by putting you fingers between the glass and the door card Second is more strange, we have a rattle from under the car, perhaps around the catalytic converter - when the engine is warm and you are crawling in traffic in first or second gear, just accelerating, and slowing down by tapping the accelerator, you get a kind of clicking noise like something is catching or touching as something flexes under the car The dealer has investigated both rattles and are reporting they cannot find anything, its booked in again for more investigation I was quite surprised that with the Yeti in its second generation and maturing we should be experiencing these kind niggles Has anybody experienced these types of issues? Do you have any thoughts? John
  2. Hi everybody I have just place an order for a new Yeti 1.2TSI SE in business grey The only option I am considering is the DAB radio option, I hear people refer to issues with the coverage What are peoples experience? I assume you get DAB and FM in the unit if you take this option? Should I purchase to future proof the radio ? £135 well spent?
  3. Had my Superb for 5 months now, had a few issues with door rattles, all seem to be sorted now, but one observation is that the front doors don't close with the same 'VW' thud as the back ones! It this unique to mine or something other people have on their Superb? Is it a feature. Could I still have a manufacturing issue in the front doors Otherwise a good solid well built car and very happy with it John
  4. I've had my Superb SE 140CR for just over a month and out of curiosity I tried to find the locking wheel nut - but with no success Any idea where I should find it - or should I go back to the dealer because it was missing upon delivery? Cheers John
  5. I'm thinking of Superb - fantastic value for money, the Estate looks much better than the Hatch I have a 4 year old Audi A4 - and the new A4 is just too expensive Was also thinking of a Golf SE 1.6 (105) Any idea what the depreciaition is like on the Superb in comparison to the Golf (its difficult to gauge from whatcar) I like the diesel engines and would get a 140CR unless you think the 1.4TSI is worth going for Thoughts?
  6. All, Just to keep you updated - took it to a dealer in Glasgow and they fitted some special tape around the seal between the airbag lid and the dashboard - this finally fixed the issue Seems to be plastic rubbing on plastic John
  7. I have a rattle between the top glovebox and passenger airbag - is it possible to remove the lid on the airbag - is this better left to the dealer? John
  8. I'm looking for some help - can the lid on the passenger airbag come off, or am I asking trouble trying to do this! I have a rattle around this area, taken the glove box off, but thats not solving the problem - it seems to be movement between the glove box area and the passenger airbag thats causing the problem Any thoughts - currently planning to take it back to the dealer Cheers John
  9. I have a new blueline 1.2 (3weeks old)- very good car, nice to drive. But I have a small rattle from the lower left section of the glovebox. I'm thinking of taking it back to the garage, but thought I would investigate more myself, had a look and its really difficult to get into the back of the car - was hoping I could take the side pannel off to gain access, but it seems sell secured. Had a look at the screws on the top box, and underneath - it all seems very well put together. If I put pressure on the left side of the inside of the glovebox it stops Any thoughts on access or rattle?
