My Skoda is *NOW SOLD* so I am regrettably going to say my goodbyes for the foreseeable future so I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all here at Briskoda for the help and support you have provided over the years. I have enjoyed my time chatting and sharing the knowledge so I will undoubtedly be recommending the site to friend/family and owners of Skoda's. My new love interest comes in the shape of a box, a rather expensive box called a Transporter, a 2.0 tdi 140 VW T5.1 GP Highline to be precise, shes simply everything I need in my life right now and quite frankly I have no room for much else on the drive lol. Who knows maybe I'll be back again in the future if I can convince the wife to get a New VRS Estate! Volvo's are boring old man's cars sshh... Thank you!

Evening! Does anyone know the part numbers I require for rear brake calipers on my 2005/55 Skoda Octavia Sport 2.0 tdi PD 140 (BKD) please? The ones I ordered online were incorrect and I was assured they would fit! The poor mechanic had it up on the lift wheels off discs pads and calipers at the ready to then find out the calipers were too small and the pads as the wrong ones. Now I'm normally pretty good at ordering parts online but these too are out of my control! Cheers, Billy.

I've just read a post you replied to in 2015 about changing the front facia etc, so unless someone has managed to do it since I guess it's false economy to mess with my COLUMBUS unit when I could potentially sell it and buy the VW RNS 510 unit instead for less of the same price. I guess I've just answered my own question lol

Just been out to the car and it's somehow working again now, maybe it just needed to reset or something?! -

No MFSW it's all controlled on the unit -
Morning all! I have literally just dropped my son to nursery and whilst waiting in the car for the rain to die down was listening to the radio. I then turned it off took him in then jumped back in the car turned on the stereo and nothing not a sound. My phone had connected as normal, Spotify was connected through media also and not a peep out of it. I've checked all the volumes in case my little bundle of joy had been fiddling but all looks fine, I'm stumped??? I've just done a diagnostic check using Carista and there's nothing showing, what has happened because I can't see how cables or connections would have come loose just sat with the engine off listening to the radio?!

Basically my drop links are shot because the roads around here are shocking (pot holes galore). Having been on the car less than a year what should I expect when I only paid £15-20?! Do you have any suggestions what to buy with a car that has been lowered on a Bilstein/Eibach B12 kit so roughly 30mm lower than standard? Cheers!

I've had my drop links changed twice since having the car lowered on the B12 Bilstein/eibach kit and yet again the knock/clunk has returned. The car was 4 wheel aligned at the start of the summer after fitting new drop links so why has it returned? It only happens why I turn and go up over a lowered curb or bump, could it be the anti-roll bar bushes? Are there better quality drop links I can fit instead of the eBay rubbish I'm clearly fitting???

Bulb checks??? -
Afternoon all! Has anyone else tried these as sidelights? I'm not sure if they are Can Bus friendly or not because after installation and a test they only stayed lit for 5 seconds then went off? http://www.powerbulbs.com/uploads/images/products/Philips-X-treme-Vision-360-LED-6000K-T10_750_750.jpg Any ideas?

Thanks all, problem finally sorted. Basically I lost more coolant than expected whilst swapping the sensors over, so when I topped up the header tank to the correct level I didn't take into account how much had actually come out of the system, so driving it around for the first time after dropped the level below minimum thus throwing up the red light, doh!
