  1. Thanks yegnold. Managed to pick discs (i think) rear and front Also happy with rear pads I'm still stuck with front pads though. ATE Skoda Fabia TDi PD (2000-2008) Brake Pads (Front) - Euro Car Parts UK?s No.1 Car Parts Retailer ATE Skoda Fabia TDi PD (2000-2008) Brake Pads (Front) - Euro Car Parts UK?s No.1 Car Parts Retailer They seem the same. Thanks again.
  2. Hi all. All 4 discs need replacing on my 52 Plate Fabia Elegance 1.9 TDI. I'm looking to buy the new discs/pads online and fit them with the help of a capable friend. A few websites have options for with or without wear indicators, do I need with or without? Should I buy vented discs or not? If anyone's got this car or are familiar with it, I'd appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I can't see the difference between for example: this and this Is my car 256 or 288? ATE or Eicher? - which is better? I've read a couple of posts regarding discs - will I need a calliper rewind tool? Thanks in advance, sorry about all the questions. Adam
  3. Nope, definately not there. Must have been taken off and not put back with the cruise control. Will give them a ring on Monday. There isn't a part code printed on it is there? It'd be a massive help if anyone could tell me it. Thanks, Adam
  4. Just had the right console off. Seems there's a pipe missing between the switch and the outlet from under the right blower. Can someone confirm that there should be a pipe connecting the two. I had cruise control fitted about a month ago, and believe they take this section of console off to allow them to get access. Just need to make sure that there should be a pipe before I give them a ring. Cheers, Adam
  5. The cubby hole on the right hand side no longer blows cool/warm air when the pull switch is open. The right hand side blower works fine (I thought it took a feed from that one) Anyone else had this? Ta. Adam
  6. Have been quoted: £271.46 for the timing kit fitted £38 for water pump £10 for coolant Making a total of £319.46 fitted at a main dealer. They've offered me cruise control for £149 aswell. Do they sound like reasonable quotes?
  7. ... and if it's worth having the water pump done at the same time. Ta.
  8. Hi all. I've searched the forum, but get conflicting results. Can anyone tell me what mileage a 52 plate Fabia Elegance 1.9 TDI should have a cambelt change at. Thanks, Adam
  9. WW_VRS, I'm talking about the drivers side, not the passenger. viewer, I mean the weld from the bar onto the mechanism on the seat, not the plastic handle (I've actually already swapped the drivers side with the passengers so the the slope is the other way round, which has helped it a bit). Before I swapped the handle over, I looked at the lengths of the metal bars from under the seats, and the drivers side is definitely longer, it's not the cover.
  10. Hi. Recently bought a Fabia, and the handle to move the seat forward and back juts out more so than on the passengers side, causing it to dig into the back of my left leg. Is anyone else's like this, or has mine been welded on a bit too far forward? Ta. Adam
  11. Bob on. Cheers for your help people. Close this thread at will:)
  12. Are you sure you know what you're talking about ? ... :microwav:
  13. Just to make sure you know what compartment I'm talking about below is an image of where I'm talking about.
