  1. Just had mine in at Simpsons with a seized rear caliper under warranty when it failed on the MOT. I was given good advice to check if was seized before I booked it in .Apparently I would have been charged if just needed cleaning. Even though I was a little ard-faced with them after my previous Vauxhall main dealer warranty experience, they were very good, kept me informed, gave me a courtesy car and even replaced the pads for the cost of the parts. All of which i wasnt expecting. I can recommend them they give a very good service. Oli
  2. I've got one dont know if its pre DPF or not. You have PM.
  3. Did the last MK1 superbs have indicators built in to the mirrors? I've noticed late b5.5 passats had built in indicators would these fit? cheers
  4. Tried sell my mint Astravan at a really reasonable price, had a month in autotrader and not one call. The car market is crap at the moment unless your buying I'd keep it and run it into the ground. I should have done that with my van instead of buying my Superb which was so cheap even at main dealer prices.
  5. Nice, needs big wheels. I'll be slamming mine too and then saving for some rims.
  6. 'flaming glovebox handle' surely that should be a factory recall.
  7. Its a Passat estate +skoda superb frontend. Have look round his site. The dash/console is slightly different on the passat. Me likey:thumbup:
  8. Mines a manual as well. Still trying to workout if its costing me more in fuel than my old 2.0dti astravan. I think its thirstier in town but strangely more economic on the motorway. Either way any savings are offset by the VED next year £235 I'm expecting prices of the 2.5tdi to drop through the floor, bad times...
  9. My 2.5 tdi does 26mpg when I'm driving to work (all urban) and 45mpg on the motorway, although I dont beleive that as to a point it seems to do better when I go slightly over 70mph. I agree watching the mpg gauge makes you drive more sensibly. Its my new game to see how carefully I can drive it. I keep meaning to test it by noting the diesel I've put in against the mileage.
  10. Also found this one its much the same WITSON Special Car DVD Player For VW PASSAT B5 with Built-in GPS/Bluetooth Manufacturer exporting direct from Guangdong China Have look at this thread Toureg MFD2 RNS DVD navi into Passat - Page 3 - Passat World Forums Oli
  11. It wont fit due the width of the facia, although the back is double din. You need to move switches i found a thread somewhere with someone putting on in a B5 passat it looked lots of work and a bit DIY. The only one I've found is this VW Passat B5 & Bora& Jetta & GOLF DVD GPS Navigation on eBay, also Car Video Units With GPS Nav, Car Video, Car Electronics, Electronics (end time 29-Jun-09 08:36:13 BST). As you can see its sucks and is cheap chinese rubbish, cant imagine it sounds good and you lose the sat nav display on the FIS. Other options could be more upto date Audi satnav I guess these could retain the FIS or reside yourself to having a a fred flintstone DX satnav like me Oli
  12. Some pics would be good:thumbup:. I'm considering this for my Superb monster truck. Oli
  13. The CO is 192 g/km and the last tax disc for mine cost £210 for 12 months (runs out 11/09). This is rising to £235 in 2010. If its an auto its 216 g/km and rising to £245 in 2010.
  14. you have PM EDIT Google is your friend http://new.skoda-auto.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Catalogue/Superb/Superb_Catalogue_ENG.pdf
