  1. You won't get one with bi-xenons. Only xenon for the dipped beam, hi beam has just normal bulbs. Mine has all that spec and more (nav, mfsw, black half leather with red stitching on the seats etc) but 33k miles, it's a 12 plate, 21 months old. Race blue, manual hatchback with Skoda history. Haven't advertised it yet but I am looking to sell sadly.
  2. The cynic in me thinks they sell the flush (and heavily encourage its use) because it's a good money earner.
  3. It uses the abs system to work out differences in the rotational speed of the wheels. The button resets the system, ie after you have inflated the tyres
  4. Sounds similar to mine, they couldn't fix it after a dozen attempts so I gave up and sold it. Hope you have better luck than me!
  5. Have you tried it with a Samsung phone as per those pictures? Could be an iPhone issue...
  6. You'll need a steering ecu and the small wiring harness to connect the wheel to the car, and you'll need VCDS to code it. All the info is in this thread and others on the forum. It's been done plenty of times by a few people, I even managed it in mine!
  7. Most are very good and give no problems. If you get a bad one then you could be in for a heap of trouble. I hope you haven't bought my old car, I got rid at 30k miles as the DSG was hopeless, always stalling and playing up. Dealer couldn't fix it so I sold it before the warranty ran out. I'd never have another.
  8. Do they still make the one without the cutout? Or is that the only one?
  9. OP, have you got a link to the part you fitted please?
  10. Sold (subject to collection and payment) Thanks for the interest guys, starting to think I should have asked more for them judging by the amount of PM's I got!
  11. They are ET50, a perfect fit on my vrs which has ET51 as standard I believe.
  12. I'm not sure to be honest, I'll check in the daylight and see if it's stamped on them. They fit my FL Vrs perfectly though!
  13. I'd really prefer collection as I work odd hours so being home for a courier is difficult. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow in the daylight.
  14. Set of 4 Steel wheels with Vredstein winter tyres fitted, includes 4 VW caddy centre caps to fit over the wheel nuts. All tyres are almost new, having covered approx. 3000 miles. No kerbing, rust, damage etc. I haven't got a tread depth gauge but I'd guess at 7mm remaining. No damage at all to any of the tyres, no cuts, scrapes, bulges etc. Wheels are 16" with 5x112 stud pattern. Fitted perfectly to my FL Vrs Octavia. Tyre size is 205/55/16. Can be collected from Lincolnshire or South Wales (with advance notice) Plenty of these sets selling on Ebay for £300+ (that's without the caddy caps!) - I'd rather not have the hassle of an Ebay sale though so they are a bargain price of £275 ono... I'll try and get some pictures uploaded but you all know what steel wheels look like! £275 ono...
  15. £180? A cheeky bid I know, but it's almost Christmas so I'm skint!
  16. Are they really ripping him of though? Maybe the guy doing it wasn't 100% clued up on octavia headlights or maybe he just made a simple mistake? Let's not lose sight of the fact that we only have one side of the story here. Ask for a fund from the manager for your MOT by all means but all that running to trading standards and VOSA will do is stress you out. Find another garage and forgot it.
  17. Can't get the forum search to work for some reason today. Can someone confirm what offset wheels a standard FL Vrs has? (18") And what effect a different ET has? Does a lower ET make the wheels sit in or out of the arches? Ta!
  18. Surely the easiest way is to use VCDS to turn it off rather than unplugging things under seat? (especially if you're unsure what you are unplugging!)
  19. Still available? Does it require any cutting of metal to fit?
  20. If he can't turn it off with 4k of whatever his equipment is then find someone with £250 of VCDS to do it. I did mine using VCDS and it takes literally two minutes or less.
  21. Just get the warning turned off by someone with VCDS. I wouldn't bother wasting money thing to fix it.
  22. Same for me. No rust at all and the caddy caps are totally secure.
