  2. 4x4 is Skoda's nomenclature for 4motion, quattro, & 4. Haldex Fifth generation is for MQB cars which in turn defines transverse engine layout. A different system is used for longitudinally placed engines. Google Torsen.

  5. According to the May 2014 brochure even the entry level 'S' model has projector headlights. The big lens that you see in each headlight is the defining point. Halogen or Xenon; it makes no difference.
  6. My new Octavia Elegance 4 x 4 turned up last week here in the UK and it too does NOT have projector headlights. I thought from reading the brochure all Octavias had projector headlights whether they are Halogen or Xenon.
  7. I had seriously considered the L & K but regarded it as being simply too clever. I wanted the variable boot floor with the ability to hide roof rails and tonneau cover. The Canton Music system negates that possibility. The stupid tyre size does not do four wheel drive any favours and so I ordered a 2.0 Elegance 4 x 4 with sun roof, power tailgate, and spare wheel. The price was so good (less than 22K) that I added a bit of bling in the form of chrome window surround. That at least; was a nod to the L & K.
