  1. try this shop: Click! some guys of the german community had ordered there and everything was going fine. to fix the problem with the "check lamp message" you could use resistors or you can use the coding for a golf mk6 with led rear lights (the german guys have done it with vcds and it works). @ stoofa: i'm not sure, but i think i've seen led lights for the octavia in this shop to.
  2. that´s what i wanted to say with my poor english skills
  3. cool, bergen hohne. i've finished my 8yr service in the german army last year and was from time to time there. sorry for being off topic!
  4. mine wasn´t in regeneration mode to. just the sensor gave wrong data and some parts of the car "thought" it is time for an regenration (sorry for the bad explanation!) i had exactly your problem and changing the dpf-sensor solved the problem.
  5. i had the same problem with the same motor. in my car was the sensor for the dpf defective and the car was all the time in regeneration mode, without the lamp on. is eventually after stopping your motor the cooling fan still on for about 2 or 3 minutes?
  6. where are you living now? my (german) superb has an option which is called "travel mode" (or something like that). if i activate it my lights switch to right hand drive mode. has an uk superb nothing like that? if there is no such option, go to skodacommunity.de, i'm sure there is someone in your neighbourhood who can help you.
  7. i did it by myself, because nobody wanted to do it. they said it is to small and to much different angles and arches. it was the first time i did something with foil and it was quiet easy. the grille and all the chrome trims on the front had some tiny rust bubbles, so i got new ones and before they were installed i foiled them.
  8. i had some little issues on the rear axle to get the wheels clear, but only some plastic was cutted out, no metal work at all. i've made my grille black with matte black foil, i think now it looks more agressive and it fits perfect to the wheels and lowering.

  13. silver1011, thank you for your fast reply! gizmo68, i just searched for the solution of your rear drl problem, but it also seems like that this won't be working. on the first superbs (drl over xenon) the rear lights are on but now, as you know, with the newer superbs they are'nt and there seems to be no vcds code for it. is there a vcds code list for the superb in english, or should i try to translate the german one?
  14. i'm sorry for that stupid question, but what is meant with DRL? i've read this a lot here and have no clue what you are talking about :S
  15. someone in the german superb forum had the same idea and hasnt found anything like this while searching the vcds codes. and he also said, that it is possible with the octavia. here´s the link, but it is in german: Click me! in the vw golf 6 it is also not working and it is a really close relative to the superb. i found a wiring plan to build it on your own, but i guess it would result in some errors.
  16. hey guys, i've been a long time away. someone pm'ed me asking for my wheels and so on and we talked a little bit. he was also interested in the led lights from china and i thought the informations i had for him are probably interesting for all of you. solving the error message after installing the led rear lights: a guy in the german community has made a simple modification with vcds. his thoughts were, that a vw golf mk6 is available with bulbs or with leds in the back and since vw and skoda, especially the golf and the superb are close relatives, why not try the coding from a golf mk6 with led rear lights for the superb... and guess what, the error messages has gone another guy in the german community is selling this lights for 219€ including international shipping. google says it is about 190£. this guy is from greece, but don't mind, some guys have already ordered and received everything as described. here's the shop: Click! and again sorry for my crappy english! best regards, 2fast4u!
  17. hey, has anyone of you tried this yet? if yes, does it work? regards, 2fast4u!

  20. some of my german friends in the skodacommunity.de have ordered this chrome parts from milotec and they said its pretty easy to mount and everything you need is in the box.
  21. i understand richf! i drove a superb 2.5tdi with tiptronic and thought i would never want to shift gears manually again. but then i tested the superb 2.0tdi with dsg. it´s just boring and the motorsound is horible. i always thought i´m in a wrong gear. thanks for your explanation, cloink, but i know how to drive with dsg and i think richf knows it too.
  22. someone asked skoda germany, why these led-lights are not availlable in germany and they gave him the answer, that they dont know anything about such lights, because they sell only what skoda gives them. i think if you would ask skoda uk, you would get the same answer. but even if i could buy these lights in the internet, it would be quiet difficult to get such rear lights listed in the registration papers, because i would need to show every little change on my car to an official inspector. and in germany you can only use lights with an imprinted "E"-sign on the surface. when you dont show it to an inspector, you lose your insurance. is it in the uk similar difficult? @burial constant: why do you want the 2.0tsi vor the vrs? is the 3.6 V6 with 260hp not availlable in the uk? best regards, 2fast4u!
