  2. I just bought Maisun MT6502 from Auspack Electronics in Melbourne. Installed the unit and it works great. Just a few minor user interface annoyances, but great value for money. Great support from Rob at Auspack Electronics too. Beats dealing direct with China.
  3. Just finished putting mine into my Octy 2. It works very well for the money. Installed myself in a few hours. The reverse camera installation took longer. There is no control / display of the climate and you still get the beeps from the rear park sensors but no display. I have rear camera installed so seeing the sensors on display is now not required. The right steering wheel controls work and only the mute button on the left of the wheel. The MFD can display radio, SD card, phone number calling and use the wiper stalk buttons to change tracks - But cannot get back to main MFD screen without disconnecting battery. Its easier to use the touch screen anyway.
  4. I have just ordered one myself from an Australian supplier (Auspack Electronics). You can read about these units on the VW navi forums. Search for WD6050. Looks like the same thing but for VW. Theres a 185 page forum mentioning various problems with them, but the latest model apparently has a lot of the bugs sorted and work quite well. Should have mine installed in a couple of weeks and I can let you know how it goes.
  5. Couldn't get information and wired the brake indicator from the trailer connector with an isolation diode. Here's a diagram if anybody else needs it. Pin outs are for Australian 7 Pin flat connector. Works OK. Only two problems when the trailer brakes are applied manually without the brake pedal. 1. The brake lights on vehicle do not come on (Not that you can see them when towing a caravan anyway. Caravan brake lights OK). 2. Will not automatically turn off cruise control.
  6. Does anybody know where the brake switch wire from the master cylinder goes to inside the vehicle? I need the wire from the brake switch that is 12V switched for a electric brake controller. Not the switched wire going to the brake lights. Cheers
