finding and fitting air filter
andymcpherson24 replied to splodge1969's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
The air box is located at front right of engine bay, Air filter is accessed by unscrewing about six phillips type screws, liffting off lid and removing filter. I have a K&N panle filter and in all honesty noticed no difference to performance or mpg Andy -

Hi All, Hi have a 56 plate vrs TDi and I am considering having the DPF removed. However have a cpl of questions hope you guys can answer. 1.) How much bhp/power gain can you expect? 2.) How much improvement do you see on mpg? 3.) Does it have any effect on emissions/MOT? 4.) How much can I expect to pay to have the work done? Thanks in advanced Andy

Are you using the CD player built into the radio and not the disc changer? The disc changer will not play mp3's

If you are desperate to get rid of them autoglym do a tar remover, that will shift em

Hi All, Looking to buy a performance panel filter for my 56 Octvaia PD VRS TDI. Anyone got any suggestions/experience on which one to go for (K&N, Pipercross etc) All seem to be similar sort of price so would be interested in your comments. Secondly, if anyone has happened to upgrade to a full induction kit and have a spare performance panel filter lying around I may be interested in buying it off you. Ta Andy

About a month ago my engine management ligt came on, the way the car drove was not affected in anyway and the following day the light went out and I thought nothing of it. A couple of days ago the light came on again and again the car was not affected in anyway and I started it today and it has gone out. Whilst it was on I rang my dealer so I could get it plugged in. Now it has gone out will the fault code be stored and show up on the system when it plugged in? Anyone else experienced this or know what the cause may be?? Cheers Andy

I have just recently had it fitted to my octy, and I now wondered how I lived without it. My local skoda dealer only charged me £160 though. Andy
