  1. Hi I got the same prob with my 1.9TDi level 3 estate 2011. Mine gives a long beep, shows car on screen goes back to radio and nothing. Code reader gave " Drive Batt Voltage low, static signal too small". I cleared this fault code and for a day all worked OK but fault back again. The drive batt voltage I understand refers to main battery being under the weather and may also be thee reason for another annoying fault the LED in drivers door fails to flashwhen alarm armed. My battery certainly indicates that is about 75% capacity and awaiting a new one. Will post if battery cures probs.
  2. My 2010 estate parking sensors started to illuminate on dash screen gave a beep and went off. By reselecting reverse they would work normally. Now I get a beep display comes on beeps and vanishes. Had trouble when car new and under warranty garage repaired and said they had replaced sensors and a problem had existed with loom, but that time sensors came on beeped constantly. Any suggestions please.
  3. Hi my Fabia Estate 59 plate suddenly displays airbag fault and and airbag symbol remains on. VAG says crash sensor for side airbag rear drivers side G-256 faulty. Static fault. Anyone know where it is and how easy to replace. Skoda dealer says £93 + VAT and 47 pence for a code card!. Does this mean entrying something in computer? Thanks in anticipation.
  4. Hi everyone reading this article with interest, I need to reset service interval on my 59 plate Fabia estate 3 1.9tdi. Not having much success was able to reset my two previous estates easily, so watching this forum with interest . Mine as the multidot display.
  5. "Switch sound file converter" is a free programme you can download and convert your files from one format to another. There are of course lots of others which will do the same job and you may find you already have this facility on any CD burning programme already on your computer eg Nero burning software.
  6. Hi mannyo, thanks thats knocked the wind out my sails, My prob with current panel is handbrake light flickers when brakeon. The warning buzzer etc works fine switch wiring changed, told its poss LED warning light, new panel more than car but got offer for secondhand one and hoped it would be easy to fit as this prob now MOT failure point
  7. Hi Kate, I have a problem with my Fabia 2002 1.9tdi instrument cluster fault and wondered if the panel change was easy or not? I have been told will need reprogramming! , Also told you may have to have a fault code cleared in your case as the airbag system will have detected an "error" by removing instrument cluster. Hope this may help
  8. Hi my 52 plate 1.9tdi estate had this prob. Most likely the motor assy on side heater box. Pain to get at not expensive around £20 depending on supplier. Also clean all controls on panel with switch cleaner. Its not the actual motor but the variable resistors built into the motor assembly that get dirty and cause intermittent or no operarion. If you not a reasonable DIY mech suggest you get someone to do it as it involves dismantling the dash etc to get at it, thats the motor assy and the trim panel around the bottom of console easily cracked. You can find posts with pictures on briskoda.
  9. .Oh dear, sorry prime suspect is head gasket, get it checked ASAP before water gets in oil Remember oil sits on water so you may already have water in the sump and water in the main and other bearings is not good news.
  10. My fabia estate is a blue metallic and all badges are blue except the one in the steering wheel which is green . They are colour coordinated.
  11. The way I have always used to reset is : lower the window fully, then raise it fully, release the switch then hold it in the UP position for ten seconds. All this done with ignition on of course. Window should now work normally. Repeat with rest of windows. Easy way to avoid having to reset all the various bits is to use a "keeper" plugged into cigarette lighter.
  12. Had same problem with my 52 plate estate, its a weak point on VW vehicles. TPS the VW trade parts suppliers give a good price. Look on tinternet for local branch. You have to remove interior metal panel early ones are bolted on later models are riveted also. The rivets can be obtained loose from TPS and they fit my standard rivet gun. Fiddly to fit so if you are not all that DIY minded you might be better off finding a techy to help.
  13. Check each wheel sensor with a ohmeter. The resistance values should all be pretty close together. If one has a much differant value this might be interpreted has a locking wheel and the ABS kicking in, particularly as the signal will be different in light and firmer braking.
