  1. I had a similar issue last year, and it was the right hand rubber on the anti-roll bar. Try to move the bar near the rubbers and see if there is any play.
  2. I had the same problem on the Octy, but just bought the chrome part from a dealer and refitted it.
  3. Thanks, Dark Hero. I can get one from ebay, posted here, but didn't want to pay, wait, and then find they weren't able to be dismantled to get at. Now i can start.
  4. Hi all. I'm currently living in Switzerland, so my Octy is km/h only. I am looking at moving back to the UK later this year, and really want to take my car with me (after 200,000 km I have become attached to her), but need to get a UK speedo in (and lights, I know, but they are easy). Question is, does anyknow if I can buy a scrap Uk speedo and switch over the panel for the dials, rather than replace the whole unit? Cheers in advance, dave
  5. It can be done, but it's a pain as you may need to extend the cables. Depending on whether you have the armrest with the hole in for the telephone or not depends where you route the cables. Biggest issue is that if you drill through the bottom of the back (pivot) you can't use the pivot function of the arm. Getting the panels out was no issue, I took the armrest out (remove left hand pivot cover and take out bolt), then the centre consoles. Routing the cable underneath was actually easier by removing the glovebox (5 screws only and it comes out). That gives you some more working space. To be honest I have fitted ipods in both locations (centre arm on a friends and front on mine), and having driven both I prefer the front mount (I have a holder clipped on the vents) as it is less distance for the eyes from the road when you are using it, so I found it safer, but location is a personal choice. 6. Err, got a similar issue with the orange oil can light on mine (mk1 2001 Octy estate). I was driving back from the UK and got a light in France. Topped her up, but the light won't go away (the manual says red is low and orange a warning and that it should reset itself on the long-life set-up, but it didn't). I asked my dealer, he has no idea but couldn't fit me in, so I have done another 1500 miles since then with no issues, just keep checking the oil. Any ideas will be a help as I need the car for work so can't just drop it in with the garage (the Swiss don't do weekends....)
  7. There is a doc available on ebay (not from me, so no advertising) that claims to give solutions to repair inst cluster issues in the Octy rather than renew. Far as I know it is in German but easy enough to run through Babel Fish or another translator package. If anyone has used it some feedback may help here. So far I have had no issues with mine.
