  1. Those numbers are KM, im on around 95k miles now. Yes im using that app, not sure if there is an iphone version, i got paranoid in my last car a Superb about the DPF so i bough a Bluetooth and the app to check it was working ok. Overall, it does it job well i find real, pleased with it. Yes its a 3 cylinder diesel so its not quite but what do you expect. Its a workhorse for me. Averaging 60 mpg mixed driving, and thats not trying. Brim to brim calculations, the computer shows 69mpg. Part numbers as below, Fuel filter.6c0127400. I pre-fill the filter before i fit it back in the car. Air filter. 6c0129620D. I use a little bit of soapy water to help but the air box back onto the far, it helps. and a drill with the right bit, to undo the box as there are about 16 screws to undo to get at the filter. Oil filter.03l115561A. Its under the engine, pain. I would get an oil filter cup wrench tool, as the oil filter i took of originally was very tight. Oil i use is, Quantum Longlife 5W-30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil 5 Litre Bottle. I suck the oil through the dipstick, So yeah i think it great, could do with a little more, grunt, for grin factor, but thats not why i bought it, so exception and all that.
  2. I service mine as below. 10k oil and filter. 20k, oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter. Pollen I'll just check and change if need be. Only use VW/ Skoda parts as I got a duff fuel filter from MANN that leaked and then noticed around one of the outlets it was missing and extra layer of reinforcement that was on the original. I have all the part numbers if you want for the above items. Oil is use Quantum, I also took a screen shot of VAG Dpf of my car last night attached.
  3. I was told this by dealer and Skoda UK. "It is due when the car reaches 5 years or 140,000 miles from the date of registration whichever comes first." Below maybe helpful, Mines done 96k, averages 59mpg, mostly short trips then I do 2 or 3 long trips a week for work. I was doing 20k a year but I'm doing around 14k now. Outside routine maintenance and services 39k, water pump and coolant was changed.warranty. 45k, clutch and flywheel replaced. Warranty. 92k, crack in panoramic roof.£90 with autoglass. Due to stone damage. I service it myself every 9.5k, since warranty ended. Any questions let me know and I'll try and help.
  4. I change mine via a pump. Could you cut a small section out of the insulation for access. Not sure how it's secured. And yes you definitely need a tool to remove the filter, mine was so tight, last person must have been Hulk. Was even difficult with a tool and a long wrench. I now have to slightly overtighting than I usually would on this type of filter as it's drips a little if I don't. Hand tight then a little bit more with a wrench stops the dripping for me. If changed my oil 4 times and each time had to do this. Maybe the overtighting previously has warped something. Who knows, never loses enough to notice. So be interested to see how you get off on your filter.
  5. Just as rum4mo described, I've done it couple times, I have found when putting the air assembly back on, a little bit of soap helps it all go back easier to the engine mount locations. Screenshots from a manual I have. Also.
  6. I have the same problem, but some days its there and some days its not. Which is even more strange. I have 10 bumps to get to the main road, what is weird it will do it on the way out, then on returning nothing! I've had a good look at everything like you cant notice anything out of place, lose or perished. Tracking is fine, no uneven tyre wear, doesn't pull to one side. So snap!
  7. 06/12/2019 - So...... how did it go you all ask. Always nice to have some closure on a thread i feel. Great, turned up at 8 clock, by 10:30 i was driving away. I checked same part number on the glass they took off to the glass they replaced with, also they changed the internal blinds also comes as a kit. All in all pretty happy, i could have had it fitted a week earlier but i was on holiday,
  8. Not sure if this helps but here goes, I have a 2015 1.4 TDI. the preiouvs owner helpfully left all the invoices in the car. So in 2017, at around 50k, it had under warranty; "Supplied and fitted new clutch and flywheel.Test, all ok. Carried out open filed action 19M5 - Coolant Carried out open field action 30E1 - Clutch pipe" Thats all it says nothing about dual to single or part numbers etc. But thought it would help know that it has happened to others and they know about the issue. Im on 93k now and no issues yet.
  9. Hey, Sorry been away so slow to reply, i spoke with Autoglass last week (so took around 2 weeks), its booked in for this Friday, so i will update then, told they need 3 hours.
  10. Morning, i have a 15 plate, 1.4 TDI 90 bhp. I use Tesco fuel, i have done for the last 200k miles in my Skoda's and never an issue. This morning i started mine i was getting after couple seconds its was idling at 1035 outside temp was 2.5 degrees. On my run to the motorway stop a couple of times in traffic before it got up to temp and idle was still at 1035 same outside temp. After a long run, i checked again at it was still 1035 idle, outside temp was 3.5. Ive never had mine hunting as your say, i have had the RPM increase without touching anything sat at idle a couple of times, but its not a huge increase say from 950 to 1035. But never hunting around. Whats the service history like on the car? Has it had the fuel filter/ air filter changed recently or due? Any reduction in MPG? photo below is what i got, today, so could use to compare (sorry about the dust).
  11. 15/11/2019 - I said i keep this updated, im hoping someone finds it useful if they ever have to do the same outside of warranty or through insurance. So i had a call from Autoglass, seem they were a little optimistic in sourcing the glass, so the current ETA is "Unknown" i was suspect of such a quick turn around but was being hopeful. So now im currently waiting another call next week on an updated ETA, as you can assume this is not a stocked item,
  12. First 2005 Skoda was a Fabia Vrs 1.9 TDI i kept that for 4 years i sold it get a bigger car. Then a 2009 Skoda Superb before this and i took it from 29k miles onto 145k in 4 years. I then reduced my annual mileages a little and bought a bigger car for the wife, so did not need the big Superb. Now have a 2015 Fabia SE L 1.4TDI, with 92K on it, i plan on keeping until its uneconomical to repair.
  13. 13/11/2019 - Autoglass rung, to confirm they are still waiting delivery of the glass, insurance have authorised the repair, and its provisionally booked in for 21/11/2019. Pending delivery of-course. Im having to take it to the Cardiff depot (50 minutes from me, im quite rural) to me done, been told it will take 2-3 hours as its one of the more straight-forward panoramic roof replacements out there. So far so good.
  14. Hi, I have a Fabia SE L - with a Panoramic Roof, as you maybe able to tell by the title it has a crack. I thought i would create a topic and detail the whole experience and update as i go along. 08/11/2019 - Spoke with my insurance company (LV Insurance) who confirmed it was confirmed and would cost £95 as that is my glass excess. Directed to Autoglass who are there preferred repairer. 08/11/2019 - Spoke with Autoglass, said they would need to order the glass in and they would be in contact next couple of days. So now we wait, i will update as i go along. Picture below you can see at the front of the car/ roof glass i white dot, where something has hit it, and then the crack can be felt on the surfaces for around 80% of it going towards the back of the car.
