Ok so to date,replaced discs and pads front and rear,new passanger hub bearing(pressed in n out by a mate at a garage),passenger track rod end replaced and joy-no noise and sharp breaks.Soooo happy. Thanks all who commented.

Thanks all. I did notice that on tight turning that there seemed to be very little noise and the noise i have been hearing is above 20mph. Discs will be here tomorrow so will fit them and see if that has cured it-i have ordered a bearing anyway and if needed i will strip the offending side.

Help please? I have had a slight dronning noise the past week,comming from the front wheel area also car pulling slightly to the left.No vibration or tyre wear. I changed rear discs and pads a month ago and noticed front discs looked shiny and thin so decided to wait for better weather to change them. Anyway i checked for play in both front bearings and so far none,took calipers off to find pads thick but shiny on the pressure pad.I removed the discs and there is a fair wear and rust lip on both but on the left inside it looks as if the disc has worn more two thirds in. New discs and pads ordered today. Question-is the noise likely to be a wheel bearing or discs?

Any ideas how i stop it displaying?Mk 1 Octy VRS.

Hi mine started with a little screech a week ago,progressed to a horrible sound now.

I have just had dash say service due in 1k.My car has had full service every 10k and last service new belt fitted.In the last 4months i have put new pads all round.There appears to be no probs and car running fine. Can anyone advise me on cost of this service and best place near Wisbech,Cambs to look at having it done? Thanks

I have excact same kit.Did'nt take battery out,just carefully pushed down through-i did undo battery holder bolts and moved battery about to fit it.Just undid the wheel arch under tray to be able to put filter on.Total time less than an hour.

Can someone help? My HiFi Sat Nav turns itself off after an hours journey-push on button and it returns to what it was set to before shutting off?????????? Is this norm? Also when playing hifi,it goes quiet when i slow down in traffic or pull up at lights etc but volume goes up when i go back above 20mph. Are both of these settings that can be altered or have i got probs??? :confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:
