  1. I have had this several times, we have four fabias between the family. Most common cause is the door control module in the drvers side window motor. Not only does it control the window motor it also affects the central locking and door open sensors. Next most common is wire breakage in the door loom where it flexes at the hinge. I got a cheap replacement module from Aliexpress which stopped the doors randomly locking but the electric windows still won't work so in desperation I have converted it to manual winders. The regulators from the rear doors fit and you need to drill a hole in the door liner, there is a circle on the inside to mark the spot. You also need to use the guide, window clamp and top cable from the front regulator that you are replacing. Bend up the tabs on the winder pulley to remove the pulley and the wires spring off all on their own. Note the front guide is a bit longer than the rear and the top cable is also longer at about 97cm. I have removed the motor assembly but have had to leave the door control module connected to prevent random door locking. Not elegant but it works for me.
  2. There are four screws holding it down. If memory serves you need to remove the plastic covers from the upright, the left one first then the right one which wraps around front and back to gain access to the screws. centre console.pdf
