  1. Ooops, sorry thought it was the mark 4 😊 The mark 3 facelift any one got one. 🙂
  2. Hi, to be honest it's been a long time since I was last on here, i had a brand new, Fabia vRS in yellow in 2003 and kept it 3 years, I'm now contemplating a Superb Mk4 probably an L&K. Anybody got a Mk4?
  3. Thanks, for your replys, i see what you mean about it possibly being to popular for the need to discount, and the smaller cars not having that much of a profit margin. But think i will wait for a few more months just in case. No need to rush into it as i have a cheap run around to use.
  4. Sorry but the DSG gear box was not for me, infact i hated it, i recently bought a Octavia vRS diesel with te DSG box only kept it for two weeks then sold it, a pity really because the car ( apart for the box ) was great, in hind sight i would have gone for the manual. I found in normal auto mode it change far to quickly, you were in the higher gears to soon, and therefor labouring, in sport mode it dragged the changes to far, and in paddle mode the higher gears were OK but in lower gears, not smooth changes at all. Now i realise a lot of people on here love the DSG but in my humble opinion it was definately not for me. If your thinking why did you buy it in the 1st place, well because i had done a lot of reading about it and most opinions were that it was great, and i had a 20 min test drive and thought yes its great this, but living with it day in day out, me personally could not.
  5. Hi, is it likely that Skoda will offer 0% VAT on the Citigo, as i am reluctant to buy one, then in a few months Skoda offer no VAT on the Citigo. Any one heard any whispers or anything? Thanks, Tony.
  6. Went looking at the White Octavia vRS today and i am pleased to say it was as advertised, so i have bought it, should pick it up in a few days.
  7. Hi, after a long Skoda absence i may be comming back to the fold, tommorow i am looking at a 2010 White Skoda Octavia vRS DSG diesel with full leather, sat-nav, xenons, reverse sensors and spare wheel, so quite a few options fitted by the previous owner, providing it is immaculate as in the advert (i`ve heard that before though, so remains to be seen) i will buy it. My last Skoda was a Yellow Fabia vRS bought new in 2003 which i kept for 3 years and spent a fortune on mods and i loved it, and its genuinely the only car i really regret selling so soon! So here`s hoping this Octavia vRS is a good one. Tony.
  8. Think it was Sat 23rd Oct then again on Sun 24th Oct. About 1.5 hours each time.
  9. Thanks very much for your replies, i am going to nip to Simpsons in Preston tommorow and if he will still give me the same PX price as he offered me for my car ( £11,000 ) which is about 5 weeks ago now i will do the deal. My spec will be Metallic Silver, Black roof, Climate control, Cruise control, Front armrest, Chrome alloys. Price OTR is £17.065 If i am feeling cheeky i might ask him if he can get nearer to the Carfile price which is £15,345 with the same extras, they ony offered me £10,200 PX but still works out at a saving of £920. The slight drawback is i would have to travel to the midlands twice ( not a million miles away i know ) but still a lot further than Preston.
  10. Ok, for about 4 weeks now i have been dithering about buying a Fabia vRS. Should i, shouldnt i, at the moment i have a 2008 facelift Focus ST2 i have driven the vRS and i must admit i thought it was fantastic, but i still cant make my mind up ! The ST is great but its getting on for 3 years old now, fuel is quite heavy as is insurance, i fancy a brand new car again having had a new Fabia vrs in 2003 ( sorry i sold that car ) so whats your thoughts for and against changing, come on pursuade me to buy a new vRS !
  11. When i was doing the rounds for a new Fabia vRS in the North West and wanted the best price for my PX which is a 2008 Focus ST2.. Simpson of Preston and Whiteclife of Warrington were both very helpful and gave me a price no problem, the guy at Claybank sorry dont no his name just said a bit offhand your ST doesnt float my boat i just said oh right see ya.
  12. Hi, as said in a previous post i am very interested in new Fabia vRS the deal from Skoda dealer is - Fabia vRS. Met Silver paint. Black roof. Climate control. Cruise control. Front armrest. Dark chrome alloys. Price OTR is £17, 065 with £11,000 px for my 2008 Focus ST Price from Carfile in Staffordshire for the exact same car with the same options is £15,345 OTR with £10,200 px for my car, even with lower px it works out £920 cheaper. Car will come from a Skoda dealer with all the benifits you would get if you bought it straight form the dealer, you can get it serviced at any dealer and warrenty claims can be done at any dealer. How can thay do it cheaper than the dealer, is it OK to buy from non-main dealers. £920 sounds good in my pocket, what do you think ? Before i finally decide i wil pay one last visit to my Skoda dealer ( Preston ) who treated me very very well to see if they can match or how much closer they can get to that price. Tony.
  13. I must admit i like DRL`s but i do think they are in a bad place on the Fabia vRS they do look just like you have your fog lights on during the day which is a BIG pet hate of mine, much better IMO to have them similar to were they are on the Octavia vRS they look really good there.
