  3. Skoda Fabia 1.2 tdi greenline, 125K. Clicking noise coming from the ECU, i have the lightbulb yellow warning light illuminated, but all bulbs are ok. Any connection bewteen the two?
  4. Thank you All. My wife recalls seeing the glow plug symbol light for about 15 seconds (about 5 days prior) but then it went off. Hey Ho, just had a word from the workshop that the EGR valve and cooler need replacing. Circa £400 all in.
  5. 2011 Fabia Greenline 1.2 diesel, 129K. Starts ok, runs for 10 seconds then splutters a little before cutting out. Have plugged it in a handheld diagnostic with no error codes showing. Plenty of fuel coming out of the filter. Have not looked further than that. Prior to this, car had been running ok with no other symptoms.
  6. am i right in thinking that the fuel filter holder needs to be removed, in order to access the dip bulb on the driver's side?
  7. Having completed 76K (95% on motorways) over the last 3 years, I had a flashing glow plug light come on 2 weeks ago. I went on a holiday and the car did not move for 2 weeks. I now have a permanenlty lit engine management orange light and the flashing glow plug light. It has been diagnosed as a faulty temp sensor at the exhaust end. Been quoted £168+vat+£30 labour. Is it an immediate cause for concern or can it wait a few weeks? Are the quoted prices reasonable? Would the DPF or anything else be affected? The stop/start function no longer works. Passed it's first MOT yesterday. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks
  8. Irelevant to your query but can i ask if the fiter is unscrewed clockwise or anticlockwise? I just managed to mess mine up, now it has a hole and cant get it off! I used the traditional chain to unscrew it but failed miserably!! Thanks
