  1. Thanks amigo, good to hear from you as well! PS. It's all about Windows, XP is badass. Thanks for the warm welcome Briskies, I'll be checking in more often!
  2. Oh wow, Briskie bikers. I see a lot of bikes here we don't see too many of in Dubai. This is Harlietta.
  3. I don't know who of the older crew is still around, but if you're here, hello again Decided to log into the forums to say hi, hope you're all fantastic! Being on here now is bringing back so many memories. Studio is doing very well, looking to expand now to cater to a wider client-base in the various fields of audio. Still work for Dubai One as well (TV channel, regional coverage), doing sound design for movie trailers, and still doing the voice overs too. Music's good, doing corporate work is always better. Still working on my second album, and also currently (not sure how much longer though) filling the role of rhythm guitars for another metal band from here called Anuryzm. We've opened for Ingwie, Nightwish, Avenged Sevenfold and quite a few others. This is our only music video from the debut album 'Worm's Eye View'. If you're into prog metal, click it. If not, click it anyway! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXYm31Lmoes My own 'band's' music is going great too, still working on that second album I started in 2011. Busy work schedule gets in the way, everyday, plus musically it has to come out 'perfect', so I'm taking my time with it. Hoping for a mid-2014 release. Here are some link for you to check out if you like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnshUO74Wuo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq399ZlHBns The Fabia is still around, Jasmine's still kickin', but I don't own her anymore. She is now being used as a company car by one of the drivers at the family business. Ran into some trouble with the gearbox in 2011, spent a heavy load getting it fixed. Still running though! Camaro's gone, resale value for coupes drop like crazy over a short span of time, I lost more than 50% in the just 3 years. I reluctantly sold it, was carless for a few months, and then got myself the Focus ST for pretty much the cash I got out of the Camaro. Nice car, reminds me of my Fabia days. Very heavy drinker though, especially when flooring it. I fill this car up more frequently than I did the Camaro. My daily ride for the past year though has been my HD XL1200 custom. There's nothing like riding on two-wheels. Meet Pantera and Harlietta. I sincerely hope everyone is well and happy. It's been a long time (almost 32 now, I joined this site 2005), I've only ever met one Briskodian from England (ChrisRs), but I haven't forgotten you lot, and I don't think I ever could even if I tried.
  4. It was a Camaro SS Chris, not a 'stang!
  5. With the Fabia, I did. Around corners. And then with the Camaro SS many years later, on corners AND straights. And now with the Focus ST, only on corners. Can't believe that line is still being quoted. Hey Chris!
  6. BigW, you let me know when you're here, I'll take you around Yellow?? I thought about it, but when I asked a bunch of my friends if they could see me driving a yellow camaro, they said 'NOOOOOO!!'. So yea, got the black instead, and good choice too, since it looks even better in person! Ken. I know Eleanor is a GT500, but I didn't give it that name. Initially, it was just 'Beast', but one of my close lady friends insisted on it, so I went along with it, but always refer to her as 'Beast' when I introduce her. Haha. Glad you guys like it! I'm still familiarizing myself with it, and the more I drive it, the more I love it. It is by far the fastest car I've ever driven, it goes and sounds like a freakin' boeing when you floor it. It handles well too, but still, getting to know it better. Hopefully I can hook myself up with some track time at the autodrome.
  7. Nope, not heavy on the corners...yet. Still running it. Yes it's the V8, figured if I'm gonna put the money in for a car like this, might as well go all the way. Thanks for the welcoming messages I'll put up some interior pics when I can, way too busy these days.
  8. Music's goin' well, work's going very well Workin' on a second album now, a lot heavier and more dynamic than the first!
  9. Hope you're all doin' great. Been coming online recently checking out the forums, but not really posting. However, today's different I got myself a Camaro SS 2010, and thought I'd share with you guys. Now I can really take those Mustangs like a King. Unless it's a GT500. Haha. Her name is Eleanor the Beast (Beast for short, Eleanor is just a sweetener). Still running her in, only 500kms on the clock, got her 2 days ago. Still have the Furby, little Jasmine. Don't have the heart to let her go (7 years and still super) and I drive her everyday for work. The Camaro is my weekend getaway car Hope you guys like it!
  10. I had no idea that you lowered it. Lowered car + ARB = excellent. Fabia stock understeers easy if you run into a corner quick, that's a fact. And its rear can't kick easy unless you're constantly nailing it on the corner and then instantly releasing it! Get the ARB, guaranteed happiness. I ordered mine from Jabba and had it sent all the way to Dubai. Cost me a fair bit, but never regretted it!
  11. RARB is a must. The Fabia tends to understeer easy and will never kick unless you get the RARB. Promise
  12. Thanks you guys. Reeeeeally appreciate your support! As long as the songs are not being sold and I'm not reaping profits (free download!), publishing remixes/covers is not a problem, so I'm covered And Biggie, I tell you what. I'll send out a free copy of the album to you (that mentions Briskoda, hello hello, free advertising for the site there lol) and you give me free membership for a year lol. Just kiddin', I'll be joining Freedom very soon. Promise. Thanks so much again!
  13. Been in your shoes pal, only Poochy's end was extremely horrible (and I believe someone is responsible). Almost 2 years ago (on March 9th, which is also my birthday), our then 7-year old bulldog was found dead by my little sisters ( I have four, and all of them except the sister who wanted her when she was born were there) after they got home from a day out. My sister Anna called me immediately while I was on my way to work and I just flipped the car around and sped back home, hoping for better than worst. Imagine what it's like to get home and find your pooch lying lifeless outside. Our large family of 6 children and our parents were devastated, and I had the worst birthday of my life. Her collar was tied around her neck so tight she suffocated, but her leash wasn't even around her neck for it to happen, so we believe some sick maniac who must have a distaste for animals took her life. We have an idea of who it might have been, but there's no proof :( So we've done nothing about it. It'll hurt for a long while, but you will soon forget the horrible day and remember the fun you had, and laugh about all the silly things all the time. Cheer up soon dude
  14. Yup. Three years of headache, sweat, and OC perfection. It's done. And marketing is a lot harder than I thought lol.
  15. Hey briskies Remember I'd been working on an album? The album is titled 'Diavatirio', which means 'passport' in Greek, and the 'stage' name I use to represent the myself and the artists here that I work with is 'Private Government'. Well, it was released here in the UAE in all Virgin outlets, and is also available online through CD Baby, Amazon, iTunes and a whole load of other 'outlets' all over. A variety of tracks off the album have been released on airwaves in the UK and the US. This was the promotional video used for promoting the album (it's homemade lol): Here's a few relevant links that include track auditions, interviews and the like : Private Government on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos (Be sure to check out the blogs if you can find the time ) ShouScene? Features Blog Archive Diavatirio: The best of the scene, on one album JorZine.com :: Interview with UAE PrivateGovernment Producer Miltiadis Kyvernitis On the album is also a metal cover of a classic Greek folk tune (composed in 1971), 'Zembeikiko tis Evdokias', (renamed 'Metallico tis Evdokias for the cover), which is one of the most famous tunes in Greece and Cyprus. That cover has apparently broken barriers as no metal cover of a classic Greek song has ever been done before, and it's been very well accepted and the Greeks are going nuts!! YouTube users have been taking the song and uploading it with their own vids and showing appreciation for it. There's been a total of about 50,000 hits all over the web for this song alone! This is the Private Government YouTube page: YouTube - PVTGovernment's Channel On the side I've done tribute covers for two Michael Jackson (one of my idols) tracks as tributes (my id (videos on YouTube), which are available for free download through links I've posted in the 'info' sections of the relevant pages. The covers are 'Smooth Criminal' and 'They Don't Care about Us'....yes, they have the rock element to them If you wanna grab a copy of the album, there's a CD Baby link on the myspace page. Hope you like what you hear on the page, and remember, it's predominantly metal! Also, if you're on facebook, join me:) There are more pictures there to see! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Private-Government/25902927788?ref=ts Thanks for the support you all gave me while I was still working on the album, it's never been forgotten, and in the 'Thanks' section on the album leaflet, you have all been thanked as: '...thank you to the friends I've never met, the Briskoda gang'.
  16. If that is the case, would it have to replaced or just put back properly in place?
  17. I thought it could be that too. Thanks. I'll ask the guys at the dealers to have a look on Saturday.
  18. Not the fastest, but when I was in the Philippines last summer for a couple of days ago, I saw a bus (not, not those little coaches, the massive ones) doing at least 120kmh AND weaving in and out of traffic so much it looked ready to flip! And 120kmh on a bus is freakin' fast. Fastest seen...Lambo Murceilago going at it at what looked like top speed on Shk. Zayed Road to Jebel Ali. Nuts.
  19. I had the leather trim on the steering wheel changed along with the rest of the interior, but since I got the car back a few days ago the light's come on twice. The first time, I took it to Autostar, they hooked it up to the computer and cleared it as a fault, but just today it came back on. Anyone?
  20. Mil

    :)

'YouTube was not meant for trolling'. Your own words. Be nice little man.
  21. Mil

    :)

No fights, the guy seems enjoy 'arguing'. Mr. Pist, the 2.0 is a far better performing car than vRS, full-stop. Good to be back. See lots of new guys on the site. Good to know Briskie's doing quite well.
  22. Haha...funny :tongue2: Think more dark...kings like flamboyant colors, and the interiors have gone from red and black to black.grey and cool stitch work Just gotta get myself a nice camera to take the pics!
  23. She looks like a wise one. How old?
  24. Hey y'all... Got a full interior job done on the Fabia....new leather on the steering wheel, gearstick, handbreak, seats, roof-lining, doortrims, pillar trims etc....I'll post pics within the few upcoming days. Hope you've all been well!
