Alloy wheel size change?
Hello and thank you ...Ootohere, nta16, Paws4Thot and Carlston for all of your input on the change of alloys. I apologise for the late reply but the weather has been against me fitting these. My initial query was changing the alloys for a set which had different ET offset numbers and different sized tyres and was concerned about clearances. As Carlston rightly pointed out the MATO Fabia Mk3 wheel I had quoted in my first post ( 6V0071495 8Z8 ) is actually an Skoda accessory....I took this part number from a picture/internet as I did not have the car in front of me at the time. The actual wheel I took off the car was MATO, and I am assuming factory fitted because the car was bought through a Skoda dealership , it has part number 6V0601025A ET38 and had 185/60/R15 tyres. I have now fitted 4 of the the Fabia Mk2 wheels 5J0601025AB. ET43. with 195/55/R15 tyres onto my daughters Mk3 Fabia and all is good. I also had also had a mechanic to check over the suspension clearances etc and he has given it the thumbs up. So to recap a direct swap of 6V0601025A ET38 and 185/60/R15 tyres to 5J0601025AB ET43 and 195/55/R15 tyres with no clearance problems, the car looks in proportion and handles well. thank you all for your inputs Andwil001

Alloy wheel size change?
Thank you all for expanding my knowledge on this subject and making me realise it’s not just a straight swap without any consequences. Thankyou for the information on the PCD being the same. After looking at the links regarding this it does seem as if the wheels will fit but the only way to really see is buy them and try it. I will then find out about clearances etc As the seller has 4 wheels all with the same Hankook tyres from the same vehicle there will not be an issue of different tyres/wheels being mixed as I will buy all 4. I will post info regarding any issues or if it goes smoothly next weekend as I can’t get wheels till Wednesday thanjs again Andwil001

Alloy wheel size change?
Hello and thanks Ootohere for the reply… I am sorry I hadn’t realised it was as complicated as they are both 15” wheels but that is why I am asking….. every day is a school day. Fabia mk3 Originals ( still on the car and not in front of me but from pics on internet they are Mato )…the tyre size is definitely 185/60/R15 and the other info 6V00714958Z8 60J x 15 ET38 is from internet. Fabia mk2 possible replacements are … tyres 195/55/R15 and from pics sent by the seller of wheel inners…CD307 CDW 51224. 6J x 15H2 ET 43. 5J0601025AB. there are set of 4 of the possible replacements available and I know the ET number is important as it determines the clearances etc i just don’t have enough knowledge to determine if this is a workable swap before buying the replacements…. Or what the safety implications are. hope that is enough info thanks andwil001

Alloy wheel size change?
Hello can anyone tell me if alloy wheels from a Fabia mark2 will fit on a Fabia mark3….. and not cause any issues. The mark3 currently has 6V00714958Z8. ET43 fitted but two need replaced as they are badly damaged. The mark2 wheels are 5J0601025AB. ET38. Any feedback welcome regarding this especially from the point of safety. thanks in advance Andwil001
