You can cancel your subscription before expiry/renewal, the same day as you take the trial if you want, so you don't forget and get caught out, your trial will still last the 30 days but not auto renew. Just go into your amazon account and prime membership settings and cancel membership.
  5. I suspect it will end up costing you even as a none fault claim, they will probably increase your initial premium before NCD which will mean you will/may pay more for insurance for the next few years. That's assuming they can make a successful claim against the car that hit yours, if they can't it may cost you your Excess and your NCD as well. I'd probably go for the keep it running until it dies option.
  6. Read this yesterday, interesting and gives a possibly more balanced view on how it all came about. https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-full-story-behind-Elon-Musks-involvement-with-the-Thai-cave-rescue-effort I still think Musk was completely out of order in what he said and certainly deserves some 'pain' for this, however i can't see anything financial affecting him. 7. Thanks, certainly some reading to be done. Will look over that a couple more times yet.
  8. Hi, Having been a user for many years of the standard Autoglym car shampoo, which I have always thought is pretty good and reasonably priced in the 2.5 litre size so didn't feel the need to go looking elsewhere for anything else. However I was recently given as a gift the new Ultra High Definition Shampoo and have been very impressed with the foaming, cleaning and ease of use. Issue is the price, looks to be a lot on fancy packaging box etc and not available in larger volumes. So what are recommendations for something as good or better but available at a better cost and available in larger volumes than 1 litre. I know there are a thousand and one options, which is why I had never really tried much else so actual experience of other options would be greatly appreciated. I am certainly not a Detailer, but do like to keep my cars clean and tidy so I do wash them regularly but quickly and use Colinite 845 once or twice a year to wax with generally an annual strip back, clay and light polish with a DA. thanks Stewart
  9. Can't believe no one wants these at £15 a corner. I just need these gone, make me an offer and take them away. Please !!!!! You can also have the Mk2 Octavia hatch boot liner i have kicking around. cheers Stewart
  10. Set of 4 - just want them gone so £60. ono. The are OE audi 16" alloys. 5x112 with 205/55 16 94V winter tyres No longer required as won't fit on current car, were used on Mk2 VRS so will fit over the brakes. 2 x Hankook icept EVO - around 5- 6 mm 2 xAvon Ice touring - around 4 mm Alloys are Ok, 2 are getting a bit scabby around the spokes but they straight and balanced, fine for winter use. Collection from Witney in Oxfordshire or Eynsham Oxfordshire, I can put on pallet and ship if you want to arrange collection. Make an offer and take them away, if you would like further info or photos let me know and i will PM. thanks Stewart
  11. Hi, might be worth looking around on Facebook etc for local buying and selling groups, where I am in Oxfordshire there is a specific group for buying and selling cycling stuff, you might be able to pick up a bargain. I decent mid range S/H bike will be a better bet than a budget new one and can probably be sold on again without a great loss if you do decide to upgrade in the future. Stewart

  13. No longer required as won't fit on current car, were used on Mk2 VRS so will fit over the brakes. £100.00. 4 x 16" Alloys with 205/55 16 94V winter tyres 2 x Hankook icept EVO - around 5- 6 mm 2 xAvon Ice touring - around 4 mm Alloys are in reasonable condition, quite scabby around the spokes but straight and balanced, fine for winter use, but certainly not perfect. The one shown is one of the better ones, I will try and get pictures of the others at the weekend. Collection from Witney in Oxfordshire or Eynsham Oxfordshire, I can put on pallet and ship if you want to arrange collection. thanks Stewart
  14. Hi, You definitely need to be sure your Dampers are OK, there are various threads on here of people fitting lowering springs and then having to change the dampers as well. I fitted the Pi lower springs on my Mk2, car was on 60K and the ride was great for a while after the change but within a couple of months it was terrible and bouncy, the dampers were ruined, no visible leaks or anything. I then had to upgrade to full kit, i went for the H&R kit. You also need to look a the bump stops as they may also need to shortened slightly to accommodate the lower ride height. If I was looking to do this again I would go straight to a complete change as I read the few threads of people having problems and also the other who all said it would be fine and went down the low cost route thinking it would all be good, but it cost me a lot more in the long run. Last thing depending on mileage it is also worth considering changing the strut top mounts whilst its all apart. Whatever you decide hope it goes well. Stewart.
  15. Possibly. I was happy paying 7 or 8p per litre more when when 95UL was 1.30 or more so about 5 or 6% extra. But 16p is 15% !! at the current 1.03 for 95UL. As stated Momentum is by far the best value, but its 12 miles to my nearest. Stewart
  16. Yes, went along the road and put in BP ultimate, still 111.9 mind you, but needed 3/4 of a tank.
  17. Any one else noticed the cost of Shell Premium unleaded has gone up recently. At my local on Saturday, Standard Unleaded was 103.9 yet V Power Nitro+ was 119.9, a 16 pence per litre price difference (I stopped at £4.00 when I noticed) When Fuel was £1.40 a litre the premium for the premium fuel was about 8 pence a litre, since the price has come down to just over £1 this has gone up to about 11 pence a litre. Any one know why the difference gone up. Stewart.
  18. So sorry for to read this, thinking of you and your son. Stewart
  19. Your right probably is too cheap, I guess that may actually put people off. All in good working order when removed but was trying to be realistic as had done 65k. Yes should be a bargain for someone, even if they just use the springs to lower a non VRS by 15mm.

  21. Complete set of Standard Petrol Hatchback VRS suspension. Front Dampers (55mm dia) with Springs and top mounts (does not include strut dust covers) Rear Dampers and Springs Removed from my 56 plate VRS last year, when I fitted a H+R lowering kit. Car had covered 65K at time of removal, Just sitting in my shed, want to clear the space. £30 the lot. Collection from Witney/Oxfordshire or I will box up and you can arrange courier to collect. thanks Stewart.
  22. TBH once you get the hang of the magic round about it works very well. The bottom 3 junctions are usually busy and clogged so I come in from the bottom right and go round the top which is empty and out the bottom left, generally once in you dont have to stop at all going that way.
