They were damn hard to find as they are not pictured. 5E0807837B 9B9 5E0807838B 9B9 They are called 'Cross Panel' because that makes it really obvious what they are. Priced at £8.40 inc vat each. Just ordered a pair to see if they fit the pre FL.

The Neuspeeds ended up being around £1500 so went for the Revo 19's. They are 10kgs and a fair bit cheaper.

The braided line gets rid of the 'Clutch Delay Valve', but not the restrictor in the bleed block. The restrictor is really easy to remove and doesn't require any extra pieces. Remove the bleed block, pop out the metal clip that holds the bleed nipple, pull out the nipple (ha), tap the bleed block and the little plastic restrictor should fall out. Refitting is opposite of removal. Bleed up the system and done.

You need S3/R32/Golf R/Scirocco R calipers, carriers, discs, pads and lines. You need to either remove or cut the original dust shields too. To remove them you need to pop the hub off. Easy enough job.

"Push clutch to start" bypass
IbizaAlex replied to JaminWales's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Doesn't really take any load off the starter motor. Its only the already free spinning shafts in the gearbox that wont be turning. -
"Push clutch to start" bypass
IbizaAlex replied to JaminWales's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Product is great, works well, made well, cheap enough too. I hate having to press the clutch to start the car. Waste of my energy! -
Rear brakes all painted and fitted. Used Vagbremtechnic grooved discs to match the AP fronts with Mintex M1155 pads and HEL braided lines. Fitted a GFB DV+ to test. Made a noticeable difference in throttle response and seems to hold boost a little better. Well worth it. Worked out that the NGK race plugs will work on the engine so lobbed them in. Not cheap mind at £28 for each plug. Swapped the Peron cooler out for a Wagner for testing purposes. What an arse to fit. Found that Ultra Racing did a brace for the MK7 Golf TDi so bought one to see if it fitted. It did! Hated how you cant do fast gear changes as the pedal returns very slowly. I removed the restrictor in the bleed block and fitted one our braided clutch lines. Pedal return is instant and the clutch is far more responsive.
-
Yep. Need to also change the brake lines to the S3 ones.
-
We are currently running a development hybrid turbo on the car. Currently around the 420 bhp mark. Might sell it, but I still love driving it.
-
The fronts are AP Pro5000 6 pots on the 362mm AP discs. Rear are S3 with the 310mm discs. Even the current balance with the tiny rears is ok. Tyres become the limiting factor to stopping.
-
Prepped the new front calipers ready for install. This stuff should help protect them from the brake dust and corrosion. The joys of full on race calipers where real paint adds weight! Test fitted the new rear calipers to make sure they fit. Sent them off for refurb in the same grey as the fronts. 310mm vented discs. Very happy that they don't have the electronic handbrakes! Subtle mod. The wiper blank from 'Kill All Wipers'. Perfect fit. The one thing I couldn't have been more disappointed about with the car is the standard seats. WTF were they thinking. No lumber support, soft, they sit too high, leather sags. Rubbish. I wish I hadn't wasted the extra on the electronic adjustment and memory. So a set of Recaro Wingbacks were sourced and fitted to make sure I get on with them (I also have them in the old car) before I send them off to be retrimmed to match the rear seats. I can now go round corners without swapping into the passenger seat or have to use my knee against the centre console. Far more supportive and comfy. Yes I have lost the electronic adjustment, but they are heated still. Old and new. Love them both.

Thank you. I do try I own a company called AKS Tuning. This is our new demo car so all the bits you see are ones we supply.
-
Small weight saving over the pressed steel versions. Every little helps. The advantage is the caster increase and superior bushes. No extra harshness, just a car that goes where you point it.
-
Ride is great. The original suspension is way too soft for a so called performance version. The H&R doesn't jump around and bounce. Far more feel and confidence inspiring. Comfy too.
-
Fitted a few more bits now. H&R Monotube coilovers and roll bars, Superpro alloy arms, rear bush kit and full engine mount set. Completely transformed the car. Starting to enjoy it now. Raised it up since this pic. Was too low for me.

Oil temps over 120 degs is when you need to look at getting extra cooling. Thinner weight oil will get thinner the hotter it gets and then lose protection. The 5w30 also mists when its hotter so burns off through the PCV system. The 5w40 doesn't do that as easily. I drive hard and know the benefits of using a higher quality oil. The Millers Nanodrive is about the best oil money can buy. Contains fullerene molecules. The splitter is from a UK company called Maxton Design.
-
Added the vRS 230 front sill trims. One latest ones that come with the 220 are rubbish. I think that Skoda got their left and rights mixed up on the fitting kits! Coated them both with Gtechnic C5. Added the vRS rear trims too.
-
Gave it its first oil change at 200 miles to the Millers 5w40 Nanodrive. Oil temps now run around 5 degs lower. Peron intercooler all fitted. Not a 5 min job! Intake side all complete. BMC panel filter, Revo Carbon front section, and Turbo Technics intake pipe. Get a little more induction noise now too. Forge short shift kit with 42DD solid cable ends. Transformed the shifting now.

TPS can supply.
