Hi all, I have got an 06 plate 2.0 TFSI VRS Octavia, currently the Check engine warning light is on, have had it checked with a diagnostic reader and have found the the intake air temperature sensor is reading -48, obviously this is not right. I am now just wondering where this sensor is in the engine bay to check to see if it is plugged in and the wiring is ok, and also how easy a replacement would be. Any help would be great, thanks!!!

My Vrs has a Jumbo box as an option but does not have an Aux input as it is 06' reg vehicle, so before they did a few minor changes.

To give an update on A/C issue, it seems to no longer be working, I am still getting a whirring/buzzing noise when the compressor is turned on, and a fair amount of noise inside the car from what I am guessing is the pipe work for the A/C system, a strange noise to describe but sounds like gas/air running through them. Thanks for the help so far!

Well it is an 06 reg 2.0 TFSI, have seen somewhere that it is common for the A/C to fail and that it should be covered under warranty, but my car is now outside that period. I have not tried regasing the A/C perhaps I should give that a try before anything?

Hey, While sat at some traffic lights today I noticed a humming/buzzing sound, and also more vibration coming in from the front of the car, so turned radio off to have a listen, then turned A/C off to start eliminating things, and found this to be the issue. It is fine when set on Econo mode or when the fan is off, its just there when the compressor for the A/C kicks in. Has anyone had this problem before and I am guessing a new compressor is needed?

I am going to be topping up my oil within the next few days and I am wondering what specification I need. It is a 2.0 TFSI on variable servicing, so I think longlife oil is what I need but not too sure what grade. Thanks for your help!!

Hey, I am looking to purchase an Octavia VRS II for around 8k, but first of all I am looking at insurance. Could anyone recommend any decent insurance companies/insurance brokers that would insure me, a 22 year old Male that works in the motor industry, that wont cost the earth. I have already tried Adrian Flux but they are quoting me £1600 and have got a bit better else where. Thanks in advance!
