  1. i've had my mk1 octavia vrs for a while and had few problems with it which most have sorted. recently though i find its dumping a lot louder which not bothered about thats good thing but the power has gone i use to never have to change down now i;m finding even at 40mph where the revs are about 3000ish and turbo is spinning i still have to change down to second to get some power then obviously change straight back up. I've tried taking air filter out to not restrict air flow,which that just made it dump louder. i;ve cleaned the dump valve out numous times, i;ve had throttle body pipe of and sprayed brake cleaner down (know u shouldn't) i've sprayed egr cleaner down air intake after air mass meter but its still struggling on acceleration. any one any ideas. Oh also the secondary air intake box thing if i can take it off what have people put there in replacment. also seen on ebay a n249 n75 bypass thing one do they work and second how you fit it? sorry also any idea on stopping the back end lifting up so much mine is awful for it front end dips back lifts up on corners. think thats the main things i have wrong all idea very welcome as new to this engine

  3. my back pads are sqeeling every time i reverse worse first thing in morning and when wet any one else had this problem (there new) and front end when ever i turn the wheel slightly with the left front wheel i can hear a ticking noise from wheel best way to discribe it is sounds like paper only started doing it since brakes were done.
  4. hi what is the need of the thing? does it do anything if its removed and how would u remove it and what would i need if did remove it?
  5. i'm thinking of getting a induction kit but have been told about having a pipe running straight from turbo to front of bumper which makes more sense as its getting force fed better. question is has anyone ever done this and how???? also i want to change intercooler but not a centre mounted one they look stupid on euro cars i think i want to put another on opposite side has anyone does this as well and how????
  6. hiya i live in derbshire area and want to get rid of my cat and centre silencer on my octavia vrs and will need it remapping only place near me is j.b.s which frankly will never go there is there anywhere else can try ?
  7. on my octavia vrs when i floor it i get a bit of clitch just over 3000 rpm and then power comes back. it seems to dump k but at times don't feel as quick as i think it should be. anyone any ideas.have replaced the funny y shape pipe as went soft and will be cleaning dump valve out later. i've not got a boost gauge yet so not sure if pressure is dropping any one any ideas plz help
  8. hi i've got a octavia mk1 vrs. my mate has one and has said there are few hoses that are common for needing changing. i know about the y shaped one from working on tt's but faults with secondary air intake bit unsure about and the other hoses if anyone know which ones are common and the part number vw use and how to do them be brill.
