  1. I can vouch for Ambassador car mats too. They are based about a mile from my house so its easy for me to pop round and see the product before I buy. I've had 3 sets of mats from them now, all excellent quality. If the Type R didn't come with great mats from the factory I would be buying some from Ambassador.
  2. Have you considered blue with black wheels and black roof? The one I test drove had black wheels, just needed the roof to set if off in my opinion. Looking at your specs it sounds like you are picking a nice car, I would definitely stick with the arm rest (although I am turning in to an old man).
  3. I might buy it just to save it from having to endure any more "modifying"
  4. I'd keep yours mate for what its worth. As much as I love the Civic I do ask myself does the extra outlay per month worth it in comparison the fun the Fabia used to bring me. Good luck with the swap!
  5. I've just put a set of Hankook Ventus S1 evo's on the Civic. Awesome wet handling but not been able to test them in the dry due to our lovely climate.
  6. I'll second that about the MTEC discs. I have them on my civic and think they are still on my old fabia. I'd go for "grooved only" just reduce the risk of the disc cracking. Not that mine have but have heard reports of this being common for the drilled OEM discs from MTEC
  7. Ditto, except I'd love mine to be below 2k
  8. Your lucky! I only get coal and dirty looks from mine! Ignore Mrs Grr, that money is clearly there for your new cars, sure your mother in law won't mind you staying a bit longer Merry Christmas
  9. Its a technical bit of kit, so I'd recommend Kwik Fit, Toy'r'us or Halfords. Can't wait to hear of the results.
  10. Rojer just out of interest what do you have on your civic? I've got Potenza's at the moment but don't fancy shelling out for them again.
  11. I'll be watching this unfold as I'm having the same dilemma too. I've got experience of KU31's but never had a set of T1-R's and wondering if they are worth the extra cash?
  12. Sounds like you have not had the best experience with Skoda. Other than general wear and tear items (brakes, cambelt etc) My fabia had only needed new bushes and a glowplu in 14 months of ownership. Hopefully things will be on the up for you soon!
  13. I was insured on an S60 T5 a week after passing my test, and then its successor the D5. (I was 17 at the time) They were both fantastic cars so much so that I considered the C30 T5 instead of my civic. Just felt a little "grown up"
  14. http://www.ambassadorcarmats.co.uk/ Based around the corner from me, really genuine guy, I'd advise getting the better quality material with an alloy kick plate, great combo! I've had them for my Ibiza and also bought some for my dad for his X-type, fitted perfectly.
  15. It does in theory, but I found I used a little more with my driving style. Depends if you can restrain yourself to drive very economically then it will save you a bit of fuel.
  16. I'll be in the corner wearing my hat. Let me out before its locked though please.
  17. Depends which 330D too though as I'm no BMW anorak but I think 330D's have different power depending upon their age? Also depends on the drive too and what gear he was in/reaction times etc. A fabia would make my car look very silly if I was pottering along in 6th, a 1.0l micra would probably have better acceleration!
