How about just turning the fan dial anitclockwise until its on min the turn it again aticlockwise untill it displays off?

Speaking with my mate from Skoda (master tech) he tells me its located behind the dash panel where the clocks are. He told me to asses it you need to pop the bonnet remove the wiper motor and scuttle panel, under there you should find an access panel to the cabin side of the bulkhead, hope this helps

I have just bought a columbus but dont seem to get the display coming up or mute the stereo as it did in the stream any ideas?

Guys I have been trawling the posts looking for the correct part number to retro fit a columbus system to my 06 Octavia L&K. The only number I have found it 5P0 035 225 Is this the correct one?

Thanks for the update, The other question i have is: 06 L&K were sold with 16inch wheels, 07 L&K were sold with 17inch wheels is there a change to the transmission to accomodate for wthe wheel size which would result in the same MPG? Has anybody fitted 17 inch wheels to a 16 inch spec car

Guys I need some advice on the following; i have an 06 L&K estate 140 pd dsg on standard 16inch alloys which returns between 44 to 47 mpg per tank. I am looking to upgrade the wheels to either 17" or 18" as the current ones don’t do it any favors. Im looking to keep the same fuel economy / performance, can anyone comment if they have conducted this change and what adverse effects it has had on economy, ride and handling????
