I must admit i haven't considered the Superb, I may have to look closer, what version do you have?

A big Hello from me, I haven't been active on here for quite while since I sold my Mk2 TDI. I am currently the owner of a 68 plate Golf GTI Performance, but due to the fact we have another family member on the way (A German Shepherd, no more kids for me!) I am looking at getting a car with larger boot space. I have looking at the late Mk3 VRS 245, and it seems that i would get pretty much all the options I get in the Golf, but can't confirm if the Octavia comes with Radar Cruise control? Is this an option on the later cars? I may go for a 18 or 68 plate, low mileage version, is there anything else I should be looking for? Many thanks.

Has it raised or lowered? Something i've never heard of? Maybe just perception.

Rear window wind noise at speed

Yes, the vertical seal. Once the window is lowered, you have a nice groove to insert number plate or something similar and tap. It didn't take much to sort. -
Rear window wind noise at speed

A tip i found elsewhere on here stated to fully lower rear window, slide an old piece of number plate in the groove and gently tap to reseat the seal. Just to say that this worked for me nicely. Just don't hit it too hard for obvious reasons. :peek: -
PM Sent. I have some springs available.

I think they would look really nice too.

I fitted a H&R -50 cup kit to my 54 2.0 TDI, and it has made a world of difference to the handling. impressed with quality of ride too; obviously a little firmer but still more than happy with it as the family car!

Check the bottom pipes into and out of the intercooler, and check they are secure. You are right the clips that hold these together are weak. mine had a habit of popping off until I tie wrapped it in place! Ensure the whining noise isn't the tensioner pulley for the cambelt, I had the same noise on a golf a few years back, right before the tensioner let go and I wiped out a few valves! On my Octy I hear my turbo quite clearly as it spools and slows, but I have decatted and have stage 1 turbo, so put it down to this, but there is always plenty of power. Good luck with yours.

Thanks! Still very fond of the Pegasus, there was a set on eBay for £100 with tyres, only ended yesterday, I was tempted myself for an extra set, but long drive to pick them up!

Got the h&r kit fitted today, really happy with the look, and pleasantly surprised with the ride quality, firm but definitely not crashy. Just a bit concerned as it scraped a bit coming off the ramps at the garage. Eek! To be expected I suppose. Wheel refurb next...

Octavia 1.4TSI Rear Coil Spring - Fitting
hobbes42 replied to cp123's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I believe the rears are pretty straight forward to swap, with no specialist tools required. Just need to disconnect lower bolt while safely on axle stands gives the clearance to remove and fit spring.
