it wasn't the fuel pump, i checked several time with the VCDS , but thanks god it was the fuel filter, i changed it yesterday and everything is fine now , the technician who changed it told me it was almost blocked !!!!!!!!!!, i wonder what type could make it like that anyway thanks god it was a fuel filter not something bigger thank you guys for trying to help

hello my friends my car is an octy 2009 , i have noticed lately that after making a long trip i am getting a very strange and annoying noise inside the car , i checked the engine compartment nothing there , if i turn off the engine no sound even if the key is on if i leave the car for an hour and turn it on again no sound then after a while i get the sound back very bad noise for a new car only about 16000 km a friend of mine told me that it may be from the fuel filter as i should have changed it at 10000 as i am in EGYPT and the octane 92 is not so good i dont know what to do please any help thanks in advance

thanks god it is working again ))))))))) :thumbup: i taped 3 times under Storage compartment on the front passenger side , then i started the fan and now it is working many thanks god and to all who tried to help me

yeah i checked the fuses and i found something so strange , according to the manual there is 2 fuses for the air blower " #22 and #40 " i found only #22 and it is fine while the other is not existing !!!! , but the blower was working 3 days ago i really cant understand

thanks for replying me, yeah i cleared the fault , the strange thing is that i still cant get any air from the vents , while now vcds i am getting no fault code anymore !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all i am having a problem with my horn signal, yesterday i pressed the horn for a long time to a void a stupid driver from hitting me, now the sound is different , weak then before i made a test with the VCDS i got the following error Address 09: Cent. for my case it works only by turning the steering wheel , and never by the turning indicator i checked with vcds , i couldnt find any thing

for my car 2009 facelift new shape when i enabled the cornering fog via vcds , it turns only when i turn to the left or right , but not with the turn indicator stalk , only by turning the steering wheel

my car is octavia 2009 facelift , i can open the mirror at any speed i just can't close at speed above 15 km/hr

hello guys what do you mean by EGR cooler and i am suffering from the same problem with my new facelift car , i cant find any leakage but water level is not stable.

i will test it tonight , thanks alot for replying that fast but what i am sure of that it will disable the dynamic range control and the AFS modes this is what is indicated in the manual

do you have to restart the ignition after modifying it , or just when driving if u enable it you get this change

yeah it is the same but it will not affect the beam pattern, it will just stop the AFS if you have xenon

first i suggest tou go an make a test to yous shock absorbers to make sure that the problem is within them i have checked mine in my old car in mobile sheraton they have an instrument there to test the shock absorbers also the service center in the air force club "salah salem street " they have it too if you are sure of the problem , try to import the same parts from outside , it will be cheaper specially if you dont pay taxes and shipping

on my car 2009 facelift new shape octavia the 2 screws back the dipped beam , adjust vertically only one adjust the light beam , while the second move the lens as a whole my dipped beam is xenon no screws is changing the horizontal position

hello guys i know that i bothered you all by posting a lot of threads for the same subject, but as you can see, i am really stuck i contacted skoda czeck republic and unfortunately no one helped me, i will try again as you know i was calling them from Egypt , when i start to tell them the problem , i get transferred to another person , till the line is down so i tried sending several mails and only i got a rely out of office msg :( so that's y i tried to handle it myself i am sorry again if i posted a lot of threads concerning same subject

i dont know why you are all attacking me, first of all the friend with vag-com ,is not just a friend, he is an engineer working for skoda dealer here, he bought vag-com and he is going to open his own service garage. second i followed the advice and i went to the skoda dealer, as i said before i am not under warranty, after several discussions i accepted to pay for the xenon adjustment, and they said it is fine while it is not by the way if it was not fine they were going to adjust it using the manual screws only, this is what i heard from technicians working there. third i didnt pay for the vag-com to mess with my car , specially i paid about 26000 euro to get it, i did because i have problems driving at night, first coming cars flashes to me , and more important the road in front of me is not well lightened as the xenon is set high, so i was taking bump, and as you know there is alot of bumps here in Egypt so i was going to hurt the suspension. and finally i amnot just a car driver, i am an engineer too , i amnot mechanical , but i have the sense of engineer , so before doing any thing i take as much precautions as possible , by saving all data to be able to restore back in case of problems. so please stop attacking me, i am really lost this is the only way for me

i went to the dealer and as expected they said everything is working fine but in fact it is not, it is not illuminating the street , and almost all coming cars flashes to me what am i supposed to do !!!! i bought the vag-com interface and i tried to adjust it myself but i failed , what appears to me is diff from what is published here

i am really lost, my new octavia 2009 facelift new shape with xenon + AFSII i need to adjust the xenon , i bought the ross-tech cable , i cant adjust it , i get totaly diff msg than the msgs i found here in the forums i am totaly lost, and the dealer is saying it is fine , but no it is not , it is set too high anyone here with the new headlight can assist me ???? regards Mohamed
