  1. Hello yes, Kolarmotorsport is still alive. We have a couple of new products, on our site now. We will also be offering gearbox kits soon for Skoda's 100 up to octavia (And also for other makes). We have set up a paypal account so everything can be paid through that. And we have a couple of new bushing options. We would also like some feedback from you guys on what you would need. We can offer a lot, but everything takes a bit longer here to source.
  2. G50 porsche Gearbox. Or an inverted audi gearbox, Audi gearboxes are incredibly strong however the one thing i don't know is whether the diff can be flipped? Can anybody shed some light on this? Oh and in czech theres no gearbox produced tht could handle that sort of power. Cheers Phil
  3. got to say this is a bit expensive, as you can get one in czech at a nicer pricer.
  4. hi there fellow skoda fan i have some info here from a czech sight says the fronts from '82 to '84 Front: 102mm internal diameter and height 304mm spring thickness is 12,5mm these were the type m suspension so all are relatively the same for later models. Backs: 113,5mm internal diameter and height is 436mm spring thickness is 12,5mm this is '84 and beyond. Hope this helps. could you do me a favour and see how long the body of the shock is im building a 130rs so need info as I will be using later shocks. Cheers Phil
  5. I think the mountain scene was recorded in Krknose which is'nt to far away from where i live! Amazing video! Thanks for the post!
  6. Haha no no im not uprating her to the rapid axles. Ive purchased a set of replica 130rs/lr single wishbones that are pretty much bolt on! Im just looking for a nice set of ARC wheels at the moment. Ahh yes my plans are to make the carbs ive got a stand off set off throttle bodies saw it this summer in Germany on a hillclimb looked amazing! Cheers
  7. Well at the moment i've decided to keep the Favorit engine in their and doing some uprating to her. Was thinking something on the lines of a lumpy cam some head porting bigger valves, t-pistons, balancing the conrods and crank. I have a set of mikuni motorbike carbs that I will be fitting to it, making the manifold. This should give me some substantial power for the now, and will also learn how to drive the car properly till i get some more POWER (Clarkson style) Regards and thankyou!
  8. Yeh but the car is a rear engined skoda? Plus even the favorit engine was later developed and refined by VW. Skoda even raced fiat based cars and lada based cars during the 70's and 80's wo what the matter with mentionins a vw engine ?
  9. Yeh im currently doing the ebay thing looking for a mk3 engine may even go for the 16v. Or by the 8v and eventually modify her to the turbo?!?! My dad was saying the 16v was lighter as it had a lot of plastic parts. This is my inspiration: the guy himself has fitted a 1.8 vw engine. And he has other videos of himself wooping a 4wd subaru! Cant be a bouncing Czech! Haha Thanks
  10. Yeh its a 110r, but its being fitted with a thick thick rollcage. Also buying some replica 130rs rear wishbones, has got the more modern five speed and have found someone that will do the skoda 130 LR stengthened driveshafts. Basically im wanting to make a hillclimbing car. I don't think i will be able to get it on the road already as its a replica 130rs and czech are very strict on there MOT all parts must be original otherwise nothing goes through! Cars are meant to be used :-)! Not looked at! Not bad for a lad who's 19 hey! haha Thanks for all the help Teflon Tom!
  11. tempting so i could theoretically put a polo g40 block in the back? I realise its going to be a bit more heavy which is a shame but I don't want to go down the road where I have to manufacture my own plate as I think this may be to much work for my small workshop! Ive seen people on youtube with the vw engine in back and it goes like hot snot. Thanks for the help pinkskud! Much appreciatted
  12. Hi Ive been looking to transplant a different power unit into my car. Ive heard that there is a adapter plate from the felicia that will adapt a vw engine to your standard 5 speed rear engine transaxle? Ive heard from two different sources that you should use the 1.9 diesel adapter plate but from another thread that i should use the 1.6 diesel adapter plate? Anybody have any ideas or experience would be much appreciated for any answers. thank you Phil
  13. If you want to fit a 1.4 felicia engine you will have to change the crank shaft end because it was made to fit the vw gearbox so a different flywheel was used (i think a 6 stud). Once you do this you will need to replace the thermostat for and older version, sump from a rapid or 130,136,135 rear engined. You will have to use a flywheel that works with the starter motor, and you will possibly need a stronger starter from a later skoda. I´ve done the classic favorit conversion that is much easier than this, basically the same as the felicia bud no crank shaft end changing ( nightmare)
  14. I heard a lot of skodas were shipped to new zealand I don´t know whether it was as early as the 110r though more the 105,120 etc cheers
  15. I remember seeing this skoda in retro cars. Brilliant car! Im hoping to rally a skoda 130rs replica will be happy to join the fight for skoda. I have one question though where did you get a hold of a rollcage? Cheers Filip
  16. Hi there I have been on the search for a skoda 110R roll cage as I am at the moment preparing mine for rally. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of a bolt in cage? The car is currently in czech so would be brilliant if someone had contacts. Do any UK companies produce one? Diky moc Thank you Filip
