My 'new' 2017 VRS

Manual and petrol! My preference. Only 10K and as new as best I can see. Very nice drive. Coming from a Z4 remapped to 250hp, but impressed with standard performance and nice to have some space! This year 1) De-badge (except black VRS badges) 2) Different alloys (just don't like the standard ones) 3) Gloss black roof wrap 4) Possibly subtle double stripes along lower sides. Next year 5) Remap to 280hp once the warranty is out 6) Lower with Eibach or similar 7) Upgraded discs and pads Then… who knows? -
Picked her up on Saturday and drove 100 miles home over the Yorkshire Dales! Better pics once she has been fully valeted.

Having sold my Z4, I’m on the look out for the best 2.0lt petrol Skoda I can get for my 12k to 15k budget. This means a VRS or any Superb with that engine. Whilst it will be my day to day car I have plans which will start with a remap and suspension improvements. Seen a few VRSs at dealers, but would rather buy from an enthusiast as I did with my Z4 and previous sports cars. Anyone looking to sell, or know of a good example out there? Cheers Vimes

Sorry, but am I missing something? That suspension is useless, is it not? No offence meant, but what is the point of mak8ng a car worse to drive? -
Showing no my age (50) and driving style to date; I have until the last two years had a ‘normal’ car, Skoda Superb, or Ford Mondeo, and a sports car, MX5’s, MR2’s, etc. For the last two years I have run a Z4 as my only car as I really only have time for one car and the Z4 is very much useable as a daily drive. However, my mileage is going to double from 10k to 20k for at least three years, hence the need for a more sensible car. Ideally though I want a 2.0 petrol as I still want a quick car, and have always had manuals as I like to be in full control of the revs. Sounds like the DSG should still give me what I want!

I’m in the market for a ‘new to me’ Superb and having studied the specs I think the 2.0tsi manual is the way to go for me. I can easily find plenty of 1.4tsi manuals, but no 2.0? According to the reviews I have read they did make such a spec, but they appear to be incredibly rare. The manual appears to be far more fuel efficient, and I enjoy being in control of the gears, hence my choice. I also fancy a remap to turn it into a real sleeper. Am I on a hiding to nothing, or do they come up occasionally?

Obviously you will not have noticed that I was away, but after 2 years with a BMW Z4 and 9 years with a Ford Mondeo (sorry) I need a new 'family' car and having owned two Superbs before have decided upon either another Superb or and Octivia! Currently look for the best I can find for less than £15,000 I will update with pictures when I have bought one. Cheers Jonathan

Superb 1.8T fuel consumption

Mate, I do it every time I fill up. I drive sensibly, and a lot of it is motorways. This is a Superb tank, 60 litres I think?
