  1. Ye mine does this sometimes. Sorry no idea why..
  2. Either Ebay for a cheap aftermarket replacement full set, or hook up to VAG-COM to find out which sensor is bust. Not cheap tho, each one is about £80. I would like to know if any VAG sensor would work. Quite a few on ebay that look similar with a slightly different part number...
  3. I have a Dietz unit in mine, it's a Dietz 1212 if my memory serves. Rarer than rock horse droppings tho. I paid £50 from some dude in germany. Great when hooked up to a video source (excellent sound) but... quite distracting if u wire it up to play whilst moving. And Mr plod would'nt be happy if they stopped you. Might be interested in selling if i get a good offer.
  4. I've read rumours about being able to reset service indicator with a magical button sequence. But i dont think it works on the superb. Hooking upto VAG=COM is the only way.
  5. Ye, mine does this. Only does it for about 10 seconds when i first start the car. Reckon i'll try to find one of those charcoal activated jobs, because i've tried changing filter with a normal one..
  6. I think this only works if you have'nt got a fault, cos the computer must switch em all off if there's a fault..
  7. On my Elegance it has a AUX input on the back of the head unit. Buying an adaptor was tricky for me tho. I got a DIETZ 1212, which u can plug video into also to watch movies on the sat nav screen. Not sure what the COMFORT has tho.. Try a Google search for DIETZ. I think the audio only one is A DIETZ 1214, not 100% tho it was a while ago when i did it.. P.S. u cant control the device with the steering controls tho.
  8. Does anyone know, would a sensor with a different part number still work just not fit properly..
  9. Are all the sensors the same part number? My faulty one is 3U0 919 275 B. If anyone who has fitted a parking sensor kit, has any spare original ones with that part number. Send me a message if you want to sell any....
  10. I hooked mine upto VAG-COM and it says rear right sensor, "short to ground". Anyone know if this is fixable? I'm guessing its not a fault with the sensor, but just the wiring somewhere hopefully.... Does anyone who has taken their sensors out, know where the wiring is grounded??
  11. You can stick your hand behind the bumper to get at 3 of em. The fourth on the N/S is covered tho.
  12. Does anyone know if there's an "how to" anywhere on fitting these? Is it just a case of linking to the reverse light power, and an earth?? Mine decided not to work suddenly last week and i nearly reversed into a car on car park, i was about 2mm away before i realised the beeps werent there.... Just getting the long (annoying) beep now.
  13. Hi, it sounds like the ABS sensor or the wiring to me. I aint no expert so i dont know why the lights go off when u turn ignition off and on again. But my lights came on when i had a ABS sensor problem. Only way to find out for sure is to hook up to VAG-COM
  14. No idea how to fix but try this. Hold the button on the end of the right stalk for 2 seconds to get the menu up for status, trip computer etc. Then try turning trip computer off then on again. Or it could be the maxidot display thats goosed..
