  1. Hi all, I've been searching around the interwebs trying to find a few spare buttons for a friends Fabia vRS. The ones I'm looing for are the ones above the radio, next to the ASR and heated rear window buttons. I'd just like blank ones ideally, but can't seem to find them anywhere. Does anyone know the part number or where I can get some more from? Thanks
  2. Sounds the same as me. I drove 70 miles to Allams too instead of the local ********* Skoda garages which are appaling. I too was dealt with by James Rothwell, and could not have been happier unless he gave me the car for free. I was given plenty of time to look around, we were offered tea/coffee, and James even managed to put up with my Dad. James is very knowledgable about Skodas and cares about customer service. I wish all sales personell were as good. I have nothing but praise for him. He worked out a deal that suited me, and was careful to make sure everything was right and ok for me. He was very helpful via email both before and after I bought the car too and even offered to take his camera to work and get some better photos for me. I have sent several people to him who were going to go to our local ********* Skoda garages, and all of them were glad they did. Very pleased!!
  3. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Progress Skoda, although I went to the Bedford branch, not the Letchworth one. Firstly, I took my perfectly functioning 4 year old car in for a service and MOT. My car had covered 22k miles at this point, but since it was 4 years old, they did the 40k mile service including a cambelt change. I also had the air conditioning checked. This came to £650. First thing was that they gave me a terribly slow courtesy car - I accept I wasn't going to be given anything fantastic, but I'd have thought something similar to my car would have been about right? Next, they forgot to do the MOT. While they did then do it free of charge (While I waited for 50 minutes) it's still pretty poor. Then, once my car was out of it's MOT, it looked like it had some kind of disease, and was covered in white spots which took me 4 hours to clean off. The next day, I noticed that there was also now a leak under the bonnet, and when I told them about this, they didn't seem bothered and said it was probably just some spilt oil from the service working it's way out. Then, I noticed my air conditioning no longer worked, despite it working fantastically before the so called check up. I decided not to take my car back to them to have the air conditioning sorted out, as I'd rather they never touched my car again. After a few months, I was looking to get a new car, and it just so happened the perfect car for me was at Progress Skoda in Bedford. Since it was a new car, I was hoping they wouldn't have had a chance to ruin it yet, and went along to see it. I found the salesman to be thoroughly uninterested in me throughout the time I was there, and he even answered the phone about 6 times while talking to me, to deal with other customers and work things. He then proceeded to practically put words in to my mouth, and before I knew it he had actually printed out a contract and was trying to get me to sign it when he could see I wasn't even that sure yet. I got away, and came back later after talking to some people, and while there I decided I didn't want the car - Once I'd said that, he ripped up some paper and turned back to his computer, with no goodbye or handshake or anything. I feel the whole team there are poor at their jobs, unfriendly, uncaring and incredibly pushy. The only person there that was of any help and who was actually friendly and helpful was the kind lady on the service desk. Unfortunatly, I can't remember her name as I was so disgusted with the rest of my experience there. I have advised many other people to avoid the place at all costs, and the six of them that did buy new cars, bought them from other Skoda dealers and were very pleased. ********************************
  4. Fabia 1.9 TDi - 06 plate 40k service (Only done 23k, but 4 year service.) with cam belt came to £650 Get 50mpg on most journeys.
  5. Hi all, I'm driving a Fabia 1.9 TDi Elegance, 06 plate. Had it since February and it came with 17,000 miles on it. It's red!! Got it for £6,600 which I thought was pretty good. No problems with it at all so far. Been looking to buy some bigger wheels though as it only came with 14" alloys! Found a post on these forums for some VRS alloys with tyres for £250, but missed those ones. Next best I can find is on eBay for £350. We'll see. Red
