  1. Really helpful, thank-you. I'll be looking at simply upgrading the front setup with DS2500 and ATE Super Blue.
  2. Thanks for this, what's your opinion on speedsport's post?
  3. This does seem logical and partly why I made the original post; which was to clarify what you've just questioned. Thanks for the post.
  4. Thanks for this YetiMan, Im only going from TP's post in the technical section and hope I've undersood correctly. Can you recall the pad number for the front DS2500, Ive been quoted FCP1641, but have a doubt that this is correct for the smaller calliper. If you have it easily to hand it would be good to confirm.
  5. Dear All, its been a while since last posting and the miles have been mounting up, now past 82,000 miles.... Im looking to improve the brakes, both the initial bite and power of my 140 CR TDI 4x4. I've looked through older posts to upgrade the front brake setup using the 312mm disks from the CR170, and note from TP's technical guide that the CR170 has the 16" Brake calliper whilst the CR140 has the smaller 15" FN3. Does this mean that I'd need to upgrade the calliper as well? I'd really appreciate feedback also on brake pad material. Do the DS2500 pads produce brake noise and how effective are they when cold? Perhaps users consider the OEM pads along with ATE Super Blue brake fluid sufficient for road use? Look forward to hearing back from you all.
  6. Happy and safe travels to All in 2012, kindest regards, Jonathan
  7. Really appreciate this, so do keep us posted with updates on the varying road conditions we are all experiencing. Regards, Jonathan
  8. Yeti is the perfect support vehicle for my KTM. Laid up for the winter, brrr.
  9. Had a rattle, for 6 weeks, which was coming from underneath the passengers seat. The dealer was given the location but couldn't find anything. It sound like nut sliding across metal. This turned out to be a 'spare' seat rail bolt which had been dropped by a fitter on the assembly line. The bolt was was sliding around next to the Digital Amp/Equalizer, which is located underneath the front passenger seat. Of course I immediately checked to make sure that I wasn't missing a seat rail bolt! Hope this helps someone.
  10. Hi Retro G, try the following: NFU Mutual Insurance (incl. 2yrs Old for New) replacement within policy. Chris Knott Insurance A-Plan Insurance Brentacre Insurance Hope this helps, Jonathan
  11. Hi LP, thanks for the kind words, have a great Easter yourselves.
  12. Hi everyone, just a quick update and image of the new beast. It's just a mobile phone pic, so not the greatest shot. The other half, a devoted Audi fan, is blown away by the new toy. Steel Grey CR140 Ooops forgot the pic of the KTM 660 As for the 575...maybe I will reveal this at later, but once I've picked up the roof bars. LP, for the moment I'm going for the roof bars, the internal bike carrier will have to wait. I might have to grow a bit though, to put the bike on the roof . The thought of all the mud from the bike, soiling the inside of the lovely new interior would be unbearable. Thanks for all the replies, best wishes, Jonathan
  13. Well we picked up the Monster on the weekend! Just driven through themother of all storms to get home and the Yeti just shrugged it's shoulders andthought nothing of it. For all of you that are still waiting patiently…it is SOworth it. The handling is remarkable for such a vehicle, with precise turn-inand damping that is uncanny in its effectiveness. Lights on the Elegance are just fantastic, as is the airy cabin, veryfortunately we have the sunroof. Such a relaxing place to be. Its early days and the transmission form 1st to 2ndis still a little tight as is the CR140 engine. Running the engine relatively quicklybetween 2000 and 2500rpm, but always allowing for the engine to warm up to 90º. We will keep you posted, on our future adventures - now the next problem is how to decide whether to head to the Norwegian, Loften Islands or Sienna via the Stelvio Pass....
