  1. i seem to remember seeing them as 'devil eyes' on superskoda, i know they do/did them for the mk2 and the fabia although im sure that they were done for the mk1 octavia too!
  2. ahh yes sorry been busy at work lately! ill empty the boot out tommorow and get a few for you!
  3. i will get some more pics tommorow, i made a box 12mm ply i think it was (carpet is stuck ontop), To keep the spare in there aswell the biggest i could go (keeping the ply solid) was 8 inch but they sound bloody good for there size! when you close the the floor (as mine normally is) it still has a massive amount of bass but not too much, even past wetsuits, surfboards and lots of gear, although i have upgraded the rest of my speakers which might help too!
  4. how about going down the route i did, its changed a little now but same idea! http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/171509-tdi-estate-boot-install/page__p__2097328__hl__jamesk656__fromsearch__1#entry2097328
  5. standard suspension 688 from floor to arch Spax VSX 635 from floor down 53mm After 10,000 miles its about 610-615 from the floor, See what yours is and compare your arch to floor to these, might give you an idea! Hope it all helps!
  6. 1.9tdi elegance estate (octavia) 195,000 miles, still pulling strong!
  7. i don't think its OEM, gotta be a custom i reckon
  8. bloody hell! i always wanted a FAST estate! haha
  9. try hereor here , both do good prices try it out.... Im using pirelli p6000's at the moment i think they are pretty good, been on for ages and good traction in both the wet and dry... Hope it is of help to you!
  10. Load Cover Glove Box There's loads of the above about on the bay guys, Stick a bit in the wanted section and you should get something, as far as the bumpers goes check the for sale section, there was a black vrs breaking but it may have gone, but also look for the vrs bumper as they are the same fit, imho i think they look good on the estate but each to their own i guess! THESE GUYS are usually pretty good, got a few bits off of them, based in Poole, Dorset. they quite often have new cars in stock apparently! Hope its all of use!
  11. go black, there's a few guys on here with yellow Vrs's with black rims, they look smart. definately be my choice!
  12. Lol, come on then, let us see the shiny shiny!!!
  13. heres a little picture of it by my octavia,
  14. that is my granddads 1957 Commer ex army truck, she's abit beat up and rusting but he hasn't had the time to keep it on the road for the past few years, also only has a top speed of 40ish and does about 3mpg! Petrol too!
  15. well i was tasked with cleaning up my grandparents V reg rover 45 2l diesel so that they can sell it, was looking a little sorry for itself as it had been sitting in the drive in deepest darkest Cornwall for nearly a year. After fitting a new battery a getting it going i started the long process. When i arrived First wash Second wash, Clayed, polish going on buffed and polished left me with this Polished/not polished Beading Not too bad a turn out for a car with mould and mildew grime all over it, tomorrow i will be washing the excess polish off of it and giving it another wash and hopefully by the end of the day it will be sealed waxed and on auto trader!!! Also i would like to add it was all done by hand as i dont have a machine polisher up here with me at uni!! arm is now aching somewhat!
  16. my water isn't oily neither discoloured just disappearing!
  17. as soon as i saw it for some reason i though of the citreon DS3?! anyone agree with that? maybe its the window outline, not sure!
  18. sounds like roughly where the coolant header tank is, you may have the same issue as me then!
  19. stick a bag under the tank, I have the exact same issue with mine somehow over pressurizing and dumping coolant out of the header valve, normally happens when going quickly (under stress) and then slowing right down, i found in the bag after a journey, the exact amount that i had lost during the drive! Interesting one but i do intend to get mine presure tested and see if there is possibly some kind of blockage, might change the Thermostat again as it could be shutting off early or something :S
  20. gotta be autosol or something liek that to polish it then i have no idea about what to use to seal them! but autosol has always worked well for me with shiny bits!
  21. im more than sure that diesels are smoke tested and not emissions tested so there is no legal requirement for a cat in your system, this is the way i understand it anyway!
  22. sounds exactly the same problem as in my octavia, it seems to happen after q quick run but only when i suddenly slow into say a 40mph limit, seems to be dumpig out of my overflow, i have no idea where to go now!!
  23. Coolant Temp Sensor (CTS) i a little out of ideas aswell to be honest! its as if its somehow building too much pressure i nthe system and dumping out of the tank, not sure what could cause this build up but as i said im going to be dismateling soon to try and sort it as it a little bit of an inconvenient
  24. ahhh, exactly what my issue was, that miraculously has coem back! on my 200 mile drive it'll use about 1-2L, seems very odd as mine is pushing out the the cap (vent) i know this as i bagged my bottle and it was all there at the end of the journey, its as if its pressurising too much? im not in a position to fault find atm due to being at uni but when i get home in 3 weeks ill be stripping everything back to find why this is, im yet to change my thermostat as its so cheap its worth a shot! Plese keep me updated if you solve it! as i will for you! Ahh also it doesnt seem to overheat althouygh at slow speeds and minimal throttle the temp gauge goes down 10 degrees or so but then i speed up and it pops back to 90, i think the cts could do with being changed also!
