Is there a way to only have the warning sound when the camers is situated on the road you are travelling along? At the moment I get an audible warning when the camera is on a nearby road.

OK but the thread title says 'current maps & firmware levels' no mention of unit type and I didn't ask a question, I've now seen the Amundsen Mib2 Map Updates thread. Some instructions would be nice for an idiot like myself.

I don't think it is a Columbus I thought it was an Amundsen -

Navigation Database = 5L0051236L0635. But I connected to the Skoda portal and was told no updates available.

Maps are out of date. The new link road between the M6 and Morcambe isn't on it and it's been there a couple of years at least.

How do I get the Amundsen to mix all folders on SD2? All I can do is mix one folder. On Columbus I could jump between folders on mix if I used the next track button.

H16 are 19W H11 are 55W H8 are 35W All basically fit, although I had to do the trimming to get H8 to fit, I was wary of putting 35W bulbs in but I wouldnt want to be putting 55W through wiring designed for 19W.

Hmm I did a search and came across this. I’ve just got an Octavia vRS 2016 with an Amundsen sat nav. My Maxi Dot only shows previous calls for the phone. My old Yeti with the Columbus allowed me to choose between different options 😥

After a trip to work in the dark there's no discernable difference, so I'm turning them back off 😂

I’ve just activated cornering lights on MY16 vRS using Carista and noticed a Method A or Method B. what is Method A & Method B? Also it’s just the inner fogs that come on, is this correct?

When I login on AliExpress it’s in English! Isn't there A drop down menu where you can set your language?

I've been looking into this and from what I can gather - Temperature colour 4200k is similar to and a good compliment for the Xenon headlights. H8 are generally 35W H11 are 55W H16 are 19W vRS fog light bulb is H16 19W There is a slight mounting plate difference between H8, H11 & H16. Note - there is also an H16 5202 bulb which is not the same fitting as the H8/H11/H16 family and will not fit. I know folk have fitted the H11 bulbs to vRSs. I'm not sure how the wiring would cope long term with 55W bulbs as opposed to 19W Maybe H8 would be a good compromise? Brighter bulb but not too much of a wattage increase! 19W / 12V = 1.58A 55W / 12V = 4.58A So nearly 3 times the Amps going through the same size wires! 35W / 12V = 2.9A Under twice the Amps load on the wires.

Thanks. The vRS fog bulb seems to be H16. Not a lot of difference between H8, H11 & H16. H16 is 19W H11 is 55W I found this - "The biggest difference between H8, H9, H11 and H16 are both the wattage levels that they run at and whether or not they have a painted on reflector cap at the top of the glass tube. H16 is most commonly used in fog lights, whereas the H11 is most commonly used in headlights. Therefore, you’ll see H11 bulbs that look almost identical to H16 bulbs but have higher wattages than H16 and they will also have a slightly different pin configuration, but with some manipulation you could swap an H16 and H11 around if you really wanted to."

I thought fog lights were H8 bulbs!

A tearful farewell soon to my Yeti. I'm due to change to an Octavia vRS on Friday. I'll miss the Snow Monster, but after nearly 7 years I feel the need to change.

Doesn't it tell you how to reset it in the manual? It does in mine.
