Fitted the luggage nets in the boot, and gazed out of the window wishing the snow would disappear! One day old and sat outside on its own!

Ordered mine (Vrs Race blue petrol, leather) on 28th august, arrived this week, picking up on Saturday morning. Its been a long wait!

Love the colour, I think you'll be one only a few with that colour.

Been following the North West meets since I ordered the new car back in August, it is now on the boat so should be able to make the next one. . . . do you just turn up and go from there? David

Great pics! Looks like the weather was great too. Did the helicopters/Chinooks put on a display this year? I was playing golf at St. Andrews a few years ago, it was a few days before the show and the Chinooks were performing some seriously crazy manoeuvres!

Got to be the blue! I was thinking last night . . . I wonder how many more are going to be around when I get mine. When I tell people they keep saying that you dont see many about and i'm thinking that might change.

Bet you can't wait, not even been given a build date/week yet for mine. I'm prepared for a long wait

Ordered my Octavia Vrs yesterday, after much deliberation I went for the petrol one in race blue, manual with leather. I managed to test drive both petrol and diesel and went for the petrol in the end. Got the best deal I could considering the dealers aren't budging too much but the amount i'm getting for p/x more than makes up for it. I would like to thank everyone on here for their views and answering questions. Now for a long few months wait :thumbdwn: Off to the North West meets section now to see what goes on up here! David

Exactly the same here, test drove the diesel the other day, when I was first looking I heard a 07/early 08 diesel and it was noisy compared to the one I test drove the other day. I'm on 22,000 miles in just under 3 years with my current car and I'm ordering the petol next week

WOW! Thanks for the great response! Certainly plenty there to consider! I think I'm currently favouring the petrol, this is based on mileage. I think the next step will be to drive the petrol then I can start talking some figures. I don't really think the figures are going to be a deciding factor but I could be wrong. I'll keep you all posted! David

With the recent VAT offer on the Octavia I have decided to look at buying a new FL Vrs as the offer is so good. I am undecided between a petrol and a diesel. I have only driven a diesel one before and the dealer seems to want to push me towards a diesel. In my current car I have only done 24,000 in three years so I wouldn't class this as high mileage. A lot of the mileage is done commuting at a current mpg of 31/32 in a fiesta 1.6 Zetec S petrol. Has anyone else been in this situation with a choie between the two. I realise there is a performance (0-60) difference. After this decision has been made I then need to try and come to some agreement on the price, with the VAT free offer do you think my bargaining position is worse? Has anyone got a good deal even with the VAT offer? Thanks in advance. David

Hi! Just registered as I'm on the lookout for a Octavia Vrs and found this site very informative. Looking for a fairly new one possible a FL model depending on price/offers etc. Not too sure about the ltd edition though? So if anyone knows of any good dealers in the North West please let me know, already had a good look through the dealer reviews but a lot of the reviews are quite old. I'll keep you posted with my search! David
