Bonnet catch?? what needs greasing?? Also heard gearbox mount can be problematic and also needs greasing too. will check out all these areas, thanks for response guys

changed them yesterday, ill try arb bushes but they look in decent nick, sometimes there's a little knock when applying brakes if that helps??

Hi Have discovered a knocking noise when going over pot holes etc on Off-side front (drivers side) have checked all suspension components/bushes (console bushes changed 10k miles ago) which all seem fine, replaced drop links too. just can't seem to get to the bottom of the problem, have recently upgraded to 312mm brakes but that shouldn't have an effect .... Really can't think of anything else, can anyone shed some light??

1- how important is this i.e. is it a safety issue or just will stop a rattle, i'm missing one from the drivers side 2- where can i get them Cheers

Hi all Just wanted to know opinions on upgrading the rear brakes to 256mm, whether it's worth it considering they are the rears etc rather than just getting new stock discs & pads Thoughts????

Cheers for help guys, I have to change expansion tank anyway due to the faulty sensor in it, so will go from there There is a definite hiss but more like half opening a fizzy drink doesn't hiss for very long if that quantifies the sound.... it's doesn't explode in my face put it that way lol Might just go and get a sniff done to be sure it's cheap from what I read?

How much pressure in the coolant system is acceptable after leaving it over night, went to undo it today and there was a small release of pressure is this normal as I know when there is a lot it indicates HG failure. Think I'm more paranoid then anything but is a small release enough to presume HG needs sorting? There's no mayo, no white smoke coolant goes down a little but not much

The loss isn't massive by any means just enough to drop below middle line and little top to make the level go to the top Went for long run on motorway no mayo on oil filer cap But from comments this wouldn't mean HG anyway, will check pressure in system tomorrow morning, there isn't any white smoke coming out of the exhaust if this makes a difference, Can't find anything around radiators or pipes to suggest leaks from there, Cheers for help guys

Hi I think i may have possible early signs of Head Gasket failure. i noticed a very slight loss of coolant over the last 1-2,000 miles after my water pump and cambelt, initially i thought the level will go down after but its kept creeping lower over time. Also lifted my oil filler cap and there were some signs of mayo looking fluid on the cap? am i correct in thinking these are signs of HG? car has done 50,000 miles & is a special editions if that makes any difference?

ahh ok, didn't know that, is it still worth a change though- like they say gearbox's are sealed for life but really everyone knows that the level goes down and deteriorates etc etc? cheers for info

Whats the best way or easiest way to change the PAS fluid, is there drain plugs etc or is it like you do with fiesta's, and pump it out with the return pipe in a bottle and fill up as old fluid gets pumped out? anyone help would be great cheers
