  1. Rockingham Track Skoda Fabia VRS - 1:33.8 Seat Ibiza 1.9 Tdi Sport - 1:32.09! I know its the ibiza sport but that became the FR so maybe the ibiza has the edge slightly over the Fab VRS?
  2. you cant say that about my fizzbomb! lol yeah i know they would be much better but i've been in an ST fiesta and i think the build quality of the fiesta is better than the skoda/seat interior. Plus the dark interiors of the skoda/seat look very dull and boring. But you can't say no to diesel power! and all the torque! lol
  3. Should also say the civi is in the same road tax band as the fab vrs but it has more torque! 340NM! though it has more cc! :p
  4. Yeah they are more expensive seen some good low mileage ones on autotrader around about the £12,000 bracket. They are a group 10 insurance which isnt that bad for a 2.2! lol. Compared with a Leon FR TDI or a Octavia VRS TDI it would probs be left behind speed wise but spec wise! you get loads I couldnt believe it looking at the spec list so much. But as some people have said maybe they could be let down by there reliabilty lol Maybe the VAG cars would perform better here but it is as they say a honda so........
  5. lol swift. The spec list for a ex model civic is very good. You get sooooo much loads of toys a big boot sat nav etc. Wayyyy more than you would get on a Fab VRS though i suppose they are not the same one being a super mini the other a small family car. Does anyone know of a chipped civic 2.2 i-ctdi? that must be beasty!
  6. Hello, Just been looking at the Honda Civic 2.2 i-CTDI on autotrader and parkers guide and you seem to get a lot of bang for your buck. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the civic being an alternative to a Fabia VRS.
  7. It is true that the focus has more torque according to the stats bible aka New & Used Cars, UK Car Dealers - Parker's apparently theres that fiat grande punto diesel that could be a rival to the fab but fook me would you dare drive a fix it again tony! The focus does cost loads for a decent one.
  8. i hate the old "test drive both" saying lol ive only drove a vrs and i sat in an fr the fr felt a slight bit better.
  9. Ive read your thread on the cupra forum it was very good! Which did you choose in the end? It seems to be that the fabia has a better interior though i would either buy the special or visit seat surgeon. The fr probably handles better due to the sports suspension though the ride must be very hard. Looks wise i think there equal as the fab looks mean/gangsterish in black but the ibiza looks sporty. Though im really tempted by the cupra tdi as its better than both but it comes at a cost. Though there hard to find and the insurance is quite expensive lol. I think the fabia is the all rounder out of the 3. Though it weighs more it does come with more things standard than the ibizas.
  10. I agree with you to an extent but the cupra tdi would cost too much for me. It would be nice to own one as there are a load of Fab VRS's about (would be nice to be in an exclusive club ;-)) You would find it hard to find another cupra tdi! which in a way would be nice. The cupra tdi isn't exactly common! like a 182 or an ST. I know a 182 would be faster round a track and round corners but who goes around a track all the time? And its not very wise going round corners fast! though thats where the funs to be had! It would be more fun over taking people with a motorway monster! Plus the better brakes on a cupra would give more reasurance :-p and the out of the box performance would be nice.
  11. Hello all, Just wondering which is the best out of the two. Which is fastest standard and remapped. I know the Fab weighs more than the ibiza does this matter? I saw stats on a certain chip tuners website claiming the Fab could reach 60 faster than the ibiza! is this correct. Which is better air con or climate control? I've heard the climate control isn't that good in the ibiza. I know i should "test drive them both" though i've only test drove the Fab and it was rather good. I know this thread has been done before but who cares!
