  1. Well glad to hear some people are also getting the most from their VRS, the speed was shown on a lap top within the car so was accurate, the most important thing though is it's the fastest car I have owned and the speed read out was real. I did the mods for ME no one else and more importantly did not do it to 'keep up with the jones's' thanks for people replys nice to hear from you all, but remember ''People who talk talk, people who are doing it keep quiet and over take''.
  2. Cannot believe my car has managed 158 MPH  (if you take a look at my other posts you'll know what ive had done). The car has just had one if i's final tune ups just rolling road to go to see final power figures and can't wait. Please see pictures in my gallery or type Front Mounted Intercooler and do a search. H who performed the work at Ashford Motorsport in Dover Kent,is an expert mechanic, smashing bloke and tells things how they are and likes to do things properly or not at all, instead of selling them things that dont do anything or are not benifical and is passionate about engines and mechanics he hand builds components and regularly builds performance blue print engines for customers using original spec sheets. He enjoyed working on my car and believes it is the best V.A.G car currently available. He HAND BUILT the FMIC which cost
  3. thanks for all your replys ill have a go at any thing but going back to the dealer maybe the last option as i've done far to many mods and fear they may show me the door.
  4. Please help me before i go stark raving bonkers. My glove box in my 05' octavia VRS wont stop squeking  but stops if the passenger puts their knee on it or puts presure on the top right corner of it whilst shut, god it even does it with it's left open!!!. Any advice would be much appreciated thanks members.
  5. Saw the invite from the cupra R lads to visit the Ashford meet with them so i Spent all day cleaning my octy ready for a bit of a social at the Ashford meet to see hopefully some vrs's etc to turn up, only to find i was the only skoda vrs there :( i felt a total plum what a waste of fuel. I realise it was not exclusively for briskoda members but 24 people had looked at the thread so i presumed????? Lets hope the next one will be better.
  6. Mine get dirty quite quick due to me being far too fusy i use, Tesco Non-bio washing liquid (white not coloured). in a washing up bowl hot water, gently aggitate with a clean (new preferably) car sponge small hand sized piece then rub dry with a decent quality fluffy cotton bath towel, then sit on towel while you drive for a few trips jobs a gooden. should be like brand new. and works on door cards too. Told you i was a bit fussy about my cleaning
  7. After all your help from helping me choose between 18' chrome rims or FMIC i've choosen FMIC it goes in next week to be measured custom built and installed this includes them tweeking my boost and ignition timing all for a little over
  8. Well i'll let him do mine first and see how the car goes dont want everyone having it if it is no good but he definately knows his onions if you get me.
  9. I really am sick of cleaning my vrs alloy their a real bugger and scuff my knuckles, i really would like a set of 18's preferably chrome as i have a black magic saloon OR forget the wheels forget my cut knuckles (even though i do use an alloy wheel brush) and get a huge intercooler which my friend hand builds for
  10. sounds like yours works well 'Just wish i had a sixth gear too'.

  13. :( 05 octavia vrs. induction kit (not oiled). powerflow full stainless. PLEASE PLEASE can anyone help, I'll try to be brief. Had my car remapped today, I was an idiot and installed my dump valve (bailey DV30) wrong way up. They sorted it No damage caused to ecu luckily, Road test blew the intercooler pipe off, They repaired (jubilee clip loose), took to rolling road for read out. Drove well bags off power torque etc Rolling road said it was 2 BHP more than standard but with more torque 178 ft/lb (thats it). i was hoping for 200 odd. figures from the fly wheel. Took remap off by the hand held gadget ss3? and re ran to check rollers were working correctly and all ok. The remap guy said run it for a bit as it takes 72 hours for full effect? and let me know, I still had to pay
