Just did mine, didn't take long. Would probably be worthwhile draining the coolant a little, i lost a bit when i took the sensor out. That being said, looks like a lot of faff to get the the drain plug so might be easier just to top it up! 1.9TDi

After investigating today, mine seems to have popped off in this location. I cant for the life of me figure out how to get to the pipe though! I can see water spraying out of somewhere on the rhs of the engine bay, but cant access it. Any tips?

Fitted mine this afternoon, after looking at the diagram thats where i've earthed mine too.

Are the temp sensors the same for all fabia models? Mines a 1.9 tdi diesel if that makes any difference?

I've got fault code 17644 - Engine coolant temp sensor showing up after a scan with vag-com. Am i best off getting the replacement part (06A919501A ? ) from a stealer?

Ended up just being the bulbs, cheers for the help tho guys!

I might take a voltmeter to the low beam bulb holders tomorrow, see if there is any juice going to them. It has got front fogs, any idea how much a switch could cost? Could it be a loose connection rather than a faulty switch? Thanks for the advice! edit : how hard is the switch to remove?

Just tried swapping some 15amp fuses for things that are working with the headlight ones, no joy. How do i go about checking the switch? I'll check the bulbs in the morning, i guess its pretty obvious if the filament is burnt out on them?

Hello! Picked my 03 fabia 1.9TDi on monday, been really impressed with it so far! Noticed while driving home this evening that neither of my low beam lights are working. Might of been this way when i picked the car up, not sure. Not very good with cars and wondering if it's just the bulbs that need replacing? Seems strange they'd both be out. Checked the manual and it says there is a warning light for bulb failure which hasn't come on? Any ideas? Thanks for any help, George
