  1. i think its only 0-60mph unfortunately. As for the reaction times the app does a countdown then a green light and you set off, its quite fun the worst time was my first attempt when i didnt know what to expect.
  2. Took alittle bit of setting up but the app is good fun,ive been meaning to try and better these times especially the reaction times. 6.53 from a standard car is not too shabby. Im going to experiment with different modes ie traction control on/off sport mode etc
  3. got yourself a proper bargain there! i love my extremes and get so many comments on how nice they are, if you do get them refurbed stick with the diamond cut because its that bit thats makes them stand out for me, im also a fan of the pirellis they arent the greatest in the wet the thay have a really sharp turn in and feel sporty. But im down to 2.5mm now and im going to replace them with falken fk510 they get really good reviews and have scored well in all the recent tyre tests and i can get them for 107 each fitted. just gives you something to think about.
  4. You could try autoglym glass polish, it should remove any layer thats on the glass. The spray type cleaners are very good but sometimes you just need a bit of abrasion to get the job done!
  5. me too for the cheaper ebay ones as listed above, the light they give out is really bright, the only thing for me is they are very open ie where you would push the lamp holder into the original item and it seals tight there is just a hole with the 2 wires coming out. I covered the holes with electrical tape but im not sure how much water could possibly get into the mirror housing. they are really easy to fit as well just follow the superskoda video.
  6. "MINI" is the brand now just like like Skoda is a brand and Vauxhall is a brand, Countryman & Clubman are the model people really need to realize this now, anyways back to Skodas the Superb is for me a better looking car it seems so much more in proportion than the Octy, im either to have an Alpha Romeo Guilia next or a Superb 280 4x4.
  7. No nothing needed, if they fit the same as the thule bars, they just sit on top of the roof and the bracket curves round and a small pin sits into the hole to locate it. i just make sure the roof and door sills are clean before i fit mine.
  8. the way i touch up stonechips is to roll a piece of masking tape up to a point and use that to dab the paint into the chip, let it dry then do the same with the clear coat. This is how i was shown by my mate who owns a body shop, other people might have different methods but it always works for me!
  9. I have had this problem on my insignia the valve caps corroded and stuck to the stem, as i twisted it off it broke the valve stem and as they were the tpms type valves it cost me £45 to replace it, quite an expensive lesson. personally ill never use them again!
  10. hi mate my vrs 230 had a wobbly rear view mirror, it must be a regular problem as the salesman said his octavia did it and when the master tech took a look he said they have done a few but the replacement mirror was sometimes the same. i just tapped my mirror lightly and it vibrated. Anyways I got my changed under warranty and its perfect now no wobble at all.
  11. heres what i did with mine the hubs are still looking good the edge of the discs rust up really easy!
  12. Yes but every time the diff gets changed the rear drive shafts need taking and putting back in again same as the prop shaft if they arent aligned or balanced properly you will get some sort of noise coming from them. the noise might not be apparent until you hit a certain speed etc like what you seem to have now. i really hope you get it sorted mate. like i said its a tough one ive read so much about this topic when i had my insignia vxr from different people and different garages.
  13. remove them and fit a matching full set they are only stuck on.
  14. surely not all the units are faulty the fact that the noise comes at 65-70 to me points away from the haldex diff etc and to possibly the rear drive shafts etc, with all the on and offs of the diff has one got damaged not seated correctly. ask them to try the rear drive shafts from the scout as well to see if it makes a difference The dealer seems to be having a good go at sorting it out maybe give them a bit more time, depends on how much you really want 4wd. I miss it i really do this time of year its brilliant i hate wheelspin.
