Hey All, Currently getting my K04 setup fitted to my octavia VRs MK2 Prefl so have a few bits and bobs for sale All parts are used but in good condition 1) K03's Turbo set up, mileage on car is 82k minimal play in the turbo definately serviceable or direct replacement for a blown one, £160 ONO Posted 2) Engine Cover, small crack along back edge from a rough technician at last service (my bad sorry) Does not leak or cause any other problems. these are over £140 from the stealers you can take mine away posted for £40 comes with brand new Audi air filter 3) BMC Panel filter run in my car for about 4000miles £20 posted (if same person buys the engine cover ill do a deal on both) 4) Injectors £120+VAT each new, just been cleaned in my work provided with new seals £25 each or the set for £80 Posted 5) Genuine Skoda window deflectors bought these never fitted them £15 posted Thats it for just now, still at work but if anyone wants pictures of any of the above or more information please just let me know and ill get in touch and give you my contact number. evening all, ive just sold my private numberplate via ebay this was the one that came with my octavia when i bought it and has been on retention for 5months. just checking out the retention form now and it does show a nominee field but theres no place to put an address in just a name field? i know the new buyer must pay an assignment fee of £25 (which i made him aware of) but other than signing the form theres nothing else i have to do now? any help or advice much appreciated! cheers Stu

Evening All! just looking for some ideas on what to get for (my) birthday, the gf being amazing has said i can have up to £450 on something (mainly cos shes mental but hey ho!) so im thinking........Milltek or.....Coilovers? ive already got a set of 18inch neptune wheels and spacers and i was gonna get round to slapping on some springs while the winter is about but for £450 i could get coilovers and still have change to get some random bits however.....im still toying with the idea of a milltek just to remove the standard sound of the car the only downside to both is we are expecting a child early next year and the gf doesnt want the car too loud or too bouncy suggestions please

what i meant by this was the fact i can jump into the octy fire it up and not be "irritated" by the sound or the ride harshness etc. Mileage wise i do around 5-7k a year and as someone pointed out my nearest actual motorway is over 180miles from my front door, mileage is mainly country driving with the odd long run (the octy took me and 3 mates down to Brands hatch for the DTM and if it stays itll take us to croft for BTCC next year)

Thanks for the honesty guys and opinions. Fuel wise the missus has a Polo TDi for running to and from her work and shes started a new job (all be it until the wee un arrives) but this is within a 5min walk of my work so if she gets a fixed shift she can drive me too and from work haha! the fuel and tax are the only things putting me off and also the fact she cant get insured on it but she can on the Octy are the only real "downsides" but having owned and Evo6 which averaged a whopping 18.2mpg i knew the fuel on a 4.2 V8 wouldnt be fantastic. I really do love the octy though and im just thinking if i live with the S4 as a weekend "toy" will i regret the all day practicality and performance of the octy?

Hey all, Ive currently got a 2007my Octavia VRs Saloon 2litre petrol and as of this week ive found out im gonna be a dad too! i know the octavia is spacious and comfy and with the REVO map fast and economical but before i found out about Stu junior on the way i was looking at Audi S4 Avants (03-05 4.2 V8), i work for audi as well which means parts and labour are always gonna be cheap. but what would you do? Keep the octavia or go for the avant and be pimpy? thansk all

well guys..... good news! the new diverter fixed it the old one had a split in the orange seal and it was actually slightly cracked! the car now actually seems to respond a bit better as well! replaced it with a standard audi one for just now but end of month ill buy a Forge item Appreciate all the help gents!

Hey folks, on sunday night my poor Octy VRS suffered its first problem in my ownership and now im mega confused! i took the better half out for our anniversary and left her to go to her night shift and drove home (35mile trip) the car drove fine and boosted as per usual until.......7miles from home i felt what id describe as a "miss" then coming off of a roundabout the car felt exactly like it did premap. we have put the car on our diag machines at work and no faults can be found? except......in the measured value section the car is asking for 0.3bar and its actually getting 1.1bar at idle?! we have changed the MAP sensor or boost thrust sensor to some people and i have tried a new MAF sensor and still the exact same performance from the car and the diag machine has anyone else got any ideas or thoughts on what this might be as we are now scratching our heads?

Yep i was sandwiched between a GTR and a leon K1, managed to pick up thre new scratches on the car that day too :( to me then the Weitecs sound PERFECT the car will never see the track as i have my BMW 325i for that did you order them from JSB? appreciate all your honesty as well

Hey all, Since i got my vrs last july the cars been superb except since august last year when my esp light came on. I work for audi so know its a common fault however even tho my car has skoda history apparently this is NOT warranty and they want to charge me for replacement of the abs unit rather than the audi vw repair kit. Hey folks Thought id stick a few pics of my Octavia runner her new wheels and spacers curtosey of Oobster (top guy cannot thank him enough!) I had enough of my small looking zeniths and the fact most the lads in town frown upon my "grandad" image and the fact that their corsa's run 17s my wheels were uncool, so originally i was after a set of 18inch Zeniths until i was pointed into the direction of oobster's Neptunes and after a few PM's a trip to the DTM and a few hang overs and a sunday afternoon with the polish it was finally time to collect them! Heres the pics of the car after her session with the DA and the Zeniths (presold) So weekend just passed after working saturday jumped into the old boys A3 Sline TDi (waft mobile 170bhp stock with a map...potent!) got the wheels from Blackburn (between glasgow and edinburgh) was then booked for a meal at half 7 and left Andy's at 4:40ish......made it back into town at 7pm on the nose, quick change went out for a few beers and curry and got home about midnight...then remembered i was at a show n shine the following morning URGH! so out with the tools and slapped the wheels on, 30mins later BOOM Neptunes have landed, and just for good measure stuck a set of 15mm adapters on SUCH a difference! anyway some pics of the car with the neptunes and onto the angle grinder bit... so Angle Grinder.......seriously this thing sits Soooo high now :( so i was looking for some ideas on the suspension front, i really dont want to go coils as i really love the standard ride and i regretted the coils (weitec) i put on my MK4 Anni and having been in my friends highly tweaked 8L S3 on Bilstein suspension i really fancy shocks and springs (also going K04 and Revo Stage2+ Later this year so want to keep the car "Fun" but sensible) and was pointed in the direction of these http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/hr-50mm-cup-lowering-springs-shocks-suspension-kitbr-octavia-1z-14-16-19tdi-20fsi-rs-20t-fsi-20tdi-rs-20tdi-fwd-0403-p-3234.html whats the thoughts and opinions on these? all comments are welcome and if anyone has pics of a car lowered 50mm PLEASE let me see! a lot of folks in Inverness have DRL's and believe in heavy rain their twinkly little fairy lights will help them be seen........except from the back! nearly smashed into someone a few months back it was pitch black and he pulled out from a layby!

cheers for the responses guys much appreciated! we are MASSIVE curry fans so the best in town would be perfect, Brooklands may definately be a shout would love to see the mecca the cold of the grandstand aint too much of a problem pretty used to it haha! whats the parking escaping Brands like? i know last years BTCC at knockhill we were stuck in the same spot for nearly 1hr45mins, a friends dad had got out the carpark and had stopped for food in perth before wed even left the circuit!

Regardless of weather i ALWAYS drive with my sidelights on, if it rains where i need to use more than wiper speed number 2 i will always put my dipped lights on.

Hey folks, me and a few mates are making a pilgrimage (dont worry we dont have our claymores or kilts on) from Sunny scotland down to brands for the DTM later this month and are looking for some advice. We are staying at the Inn on the Lake in Gravesend (http://www.innonlake.co.uk/) which is about 15miles from Brands, but any locals on here know of what to do places to go etc. also anyone been to brands and could give us some heads up tips on the best place to stand to watch the racing i think on the monday we are going to Bealuy (unsure of spelling!) to see the motor museum so if anyone thinks that should be skipped please feel free to give us a better suggestion! thanks all
