If I ajust the handbrake that might do it because it's only it about 3 clicks now, am I right in thinking its the 10mm nut under the rear ashtray

Hi I have noticed the rear disks on my fabia vrs had gone very rusty and only seem to be using a tiny bit of the disk, Upon inspection I noticed the pads were worn funny so I replaced the disks and pads I then drove about 2 miles and realised by the smell that the handbrake arm wasn't releasing fully on the o/s/r So I fitted the 1k0 return springs witch have sorted that problem out but the pads on that side still sound like they are squealing when am driving slowly When i jack up the car the wheels are free but you can hearing them catching a bit what else could I do to stop this

I have got a screeching noise coming from my aulternater pulley, is there a replacement pully I can put on or have I got to replace the whole aulternater, It's a 54 plate fabia vrs on 108k if that helps

This months problems are quite amusing I think it maybe a earth problem but don't know where to check The glow plugs have stopped working conpletly but I still have a glow plug light on the dash when I put the ignition on Every time a press the brake pedal the side lights come on and the brake lights are staying on untill the ignition is tuned back off All of the about happened at once that's why I am thinking that it could be a earth problem but any help or advise is a grate thanks

I checked the Timing that was all fine what I've found is that if I take the hose off the egr valve all it's problems go away

I have a Felicia 1.9 SDI that i think its about to die. Its lost that much power it wont go up any form of hill flat out in first gear! When its under load you can hear it knocking and banging really loud and it pours of gray smoke, The oil level is fine and is on the max, I dont know if its related but when i try go up a hill the engine temp goes down I have looked in the oil and water and they seem ok so i dont think its the head gasket so has anyone got any ideas what it could be? I seem to think its about the seize Any help or advice would be very much appreciated

Just thought i'd give an update now its fixed, it had to go to skoda in the end and it was the central electrics control unit witch in total it cost me £430 its the first time the cars ever really gone wrong and a very expencive bill for a little box Thanks for all your help Rich

I still cant seem to get to the problem on this its really anoying now as i go away next week, the garage have had it all week and they cant seem to find the problem either I Tried my old motor with all the attachments and still in the car, when i put a 12v feed into it and it went fine The new motor does exactly the same as the 1 that was in the car I have tried a couple of stalks and they all do the same The motor has a good earth and seems to be getting some power but not enough i can turn the linkages around by hand when the switch is set to full speed has anyone got and ideas where else to look or if they would have a look for me Many Thanks Rich

Ive just gone for the hankook evo 12 too i think they are quick good i only went for them as i@ve always toyos and the hankooks are ment to last a bit longer but we'll see

When I put a light tester at the connector that plugs into the wiper I seem to have got a constant live no matter what the position of the stalk was. That was the second to bottom wire think it was green and black I don’t know about the earth or how to check it Thanks for your quick replays much appreciated.

I’ve double checked the fuse and its fine could it be the black long box that everything seems to be connected to under the dash think it’s called a comfort module or something like that you can hear it ticking from there like a normal relay when I move the stalk I Tried to change the relays next to it and that’s not worked either am really stuck without it as it’s done nothing but rain here all day.

what else could i try
