My maps are 2012/2013 and when I entered the VIN it says no updates available. Can this be right?

Samsung Galaxy S7 not recognised by bluetooth
M6Driver replied to M6Driver's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Thanks all. Note to self...RTFM When I did it was easy. As jonro says need to select from Amundsen first, not look for Amundsen on phone. And there was me thinking Skoda were Apple fanbois!- 8 replies

I just upgraded my mobile from a Galaxy S4 to a S7. When trying to Bluetooth it this afternoon, it isn't recognised. Does the Amundsen software have to be updated?

How good are the on-board satnav systems?
M6Driver replied to OctaviaJo's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
The Amundsen Satnav is definitely the most polite ever. But I found after a few months use it was so, so. Waze (available for both Android and ios) is far, far better and better than my Tomtom. I think portrait layout is more appropriate for a satnav, but most cars are in landscape. The only thing is my young 'un doesn't like the phone on the windscreen as it doesn't look cool! -
Speed cameras on Amundsen SatNav?
M6Driver replied to M6Driver's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
After having a look into this. It costs £19.99 to subscribe to the speed camera database download. Not too bad if it works on the Amundsen. But I'm still not convinced by the Amundsen v Waze. Hmm...- 45 replies

Speed cameras on Amundsen SatNav?
M6Driver replied to M6Driver's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
My eyesight is a bit dodgy. That's why I'd like them on the SatNav.- 45 replies

Hi I've recently upgraded to an Octavia III 2.0 TDI Elegance from an Octavia I 1.9 TDI. What a difference, amazing specs, great performance, but slightly disappointing fuel consumption (probably due to all the gadgets). Anyway, my main query is whether Speed Cameras are displayed on the Amundsen SatNav? After being done a few times in the past for being marginally over the limit, I got a Talex Lite detector which was great. I switched to Waze from my TomTom One and it also had speed cameras, but only informing by audio if over the limit. I really don't want to have a wire trailing over the dash to the Talex in the new Octy or the phone on a holder stuck to the window. The salesman told me the Amundsen displayed speed cameras, but I haven't seen any displays. So can it display them or do I need to update the satnav? C

My front two - Michelin Primacy HP on 53 Octavia 1.9TDi are down to 2mm. So, will be buying replacements soon. The HPs have gone for 27,000 miles so far. The two rear Bridgestone Tuanza E300 still at 5mm after 40,000 plus (though only lasted 9,000 on the front). The HPs are a bit noisy and expensive but seem to last. Think I might just get some more unless anyone can advise me of something better?

Hi all just came across this site and it looks great. I got an 2003 Octavia 1.9 TDi Blueline a couple of years ago and rate it for the motorways. Hope to get some good advice to keep it running.
